When you first apply power to the track the lights flash on and off for a few seconds then repeat a few seconds later. This might happen two or three times then there is a pause and the engine is ready to respond to transformer commands. Is it simply a CV that needs to be adjusted or is this simply a little quirk of the engine?

I purchased two On30 Heisler's and the sound cards. One sound card worked perfectly and the other would not work. So I reset the decoder using the information on the Spectrum Quick Start Guide CV Settings. Using a Digitrax DCS50 Command Station I reset all the CV settings and now the engine will not work at all. Even without the sound card. Nothing no movement.

Any help please.

I have two new Heisler's in On30 and on both of them the Oil Tank pegs do not fit in the holes on the sides of the tenders. Is this just me or is there more work to be done? And yes I have them in the right way.

I need a little help with my On30 Shay. The engine was purchased new and will only run in analog. It will not respond to command changes from either a Bachmann EZ Command or a Digitrx DCS50.

Yes, I have built and use an isolated test track with a PTB100 Programming Track Booster and still the engine will only respond to analog. Also, I have tested other Bachmann engines on this track and they all respond to any and all commands. When using the Digitrax DCS50 I keep getting the error messages of DNA or DNR when trying to change the decoder address.

I also, tried to reset the decoder card by using CV8 and get the error code of DNR.

Any suggestions or help.

My Question Is: Can I obtain a new decoder card and install it myself? Thanks for any HELP.
