I just found this wonderful On30 railroad on Facebook. Look at the photos, they are a real inspiration. The owner / craftsman says he doesn't spend time watching TV :D The layout is located in Näsum, Sweden. Enjoy!

The Coast Line RR page

From the album: "I thought I'd better introduce some of the rolling stuff on the Coast Line, starting with one of the Forneys, the mainstay of Maine narrow gauge (the management of the CLRR has a somwhat freer and wider choice of loco types than the rest of the Maine crowd though ;-)

No 2 is a standard Bachmann outside frame Forney, merely painted/weathered and handlettered in acrylics."

From the album: "The most excentric equipment running on the Coast Line tracks... my doubledecker sightseeing railbus. Scratchbuilt in styrene on the Bachmann railtruck chassis. LokSound decoder installed"

I heard a great interview with Christopher Awdry on NPR's All Things Considered last evening. Christopher, now 70, is the son of Rev. Wilbert Awdry who created Thomas and his stories in 1942 for his son who was sick in bed with the measles. You can read, listen or download a podcast of the interview here (6 minutes):

(I originally posted this in the Thomas forum and thought it might be of interest in the General forum as well.)

I just saw these trains on eBay. Another "Thomas" like franchise? Are they HO or OO and are they compatible with US standards? I looked in the Thomas forum here and don't see any mention of these. Here are some links I searched up:
