May 15, 2013, 04:57:15 PM
Hello everyone,

My family and I are planning to take a trip to London (UK) this summer (July), and I was wondering, are there any GREAT Thomas destinations that I should see. I know Drayton Manor, but are there others (Rev. W Awdry Birthplace, Museum, Movie (in the theaters)?

                                                                Thanks, Tanner

Hey guys!

Just want to let you all know about the biggest train show on the east coast! It boasts around 50,000 in attendance! It is the big E train show, run by the Amherst railway society. The coolest thing about this train show is that it has a U16 layout building contest! I will be going there to compete, and to check out the displays. You guys should come too!

Location: The show is located in the Better Living Center and the adjacent Young, Stroh and Mallary Buildings at the Eastern States Exposition Fairgrounds, 1305 Memorial Avenue, West Springfield MA. 01089

 Tickets: Adults: $10.00 per day
Children 15 and under: FREE Accompanied by an Adult
EASTERN STATES EXPO PARKING: $5.00 per day

Its only 3 hours from New York City! Hope to see you there. For more info, visit: http://www.railroadhobbyshow.com

To enter the contest, visit these two links (dont worry about the due date!) http://www.railroadhobbyshow.com/files/files/2013.U16%20National%20Layout%20Building%20Contest%20Rules.pdf
http://www.railroadhobbyshow.com/files/files/2013.U16%20National%20Layout%20Building%20Contest%20Entry%20Form.pdf

SO remember, January 26th and 27th are the days of one BIG model train show!

HO / How to make Bachmann trains smoke more?
June 25, 2012, 04:41:50 PM
Hey!

Just wondering, how do you make Bachmann trains smoke more? It only works when you go 100% and then it spits. I have a Bachmann controller and am pretty sure it may need more power. How would I go about doing this? Thanks for any help!

Thomas & Friends / The State of Sodoradventures
February 20, 2012, 09:57:10 PM
Dear fans,

Due to lack of support in the last 6 months, and the feeling that there is no more room for expansion to the series, I have moved on. On June 22nd, SodorAdventures will close its productions, and remain a silent channel.   All videos will still be available to watch, but no new videos will be produced. A new series will begin, which will be even better, and news will arrive soon on that :) Sorry to my valued fans. I will try and move the series to another thomas fan who would be proud to hold the SodorAdventures Logo, and if you would like to be that person, please tell me here.  Thanks

Thomas & Friends / The Sodoradventures Layout
August 21, 2011, 10:34:43 AM
Hello All,

I know there is a layout thread, but I will update this often, too often for the layout thread.
The new layout is being built!!! Don't judge it now, but here are the work in progress pics!

The Main station on the set. I need help naming it, any ideas. I have yet to get the platforms for it, though.

The mountain. I know it stinks. I will be fixing it ALOT!

This is where the city will be. One building is there at the moment.

This is just the edge of the set where I may put a forest.

            Any comments questions ideas?

Thomas & Friends / Thomas' Amtrak Trip
July 05, 2011, 08:51:50 PM

    Hello all,

Due to some complaints on where to put this, I will be placing this in its own topic. I am going to be taking an Amtrak trip from Chicago to San Francisco and would like to tell you a little info about it! It is a 2 1/2 day trip from Chicago (Union Station) to Emeryville, CA with transfers to San Fran. We have rented a roomette aboard this trip, with 2 beds and 2 chairs. I am REALLY excited, but dont know how to tie thomas in with the trip. Also, PM me if you live in the San Fransico area, and would like to say hi! IAny advice for the trip, amtrak, would be greatly appreciated! Oh, and I have some second thought because of the accident on the SAME train a week or so ago. Thanks!  ;D

Hello all (do not consider this advertising),

I am going to be exhibiting my trainset at the Worlds greatest hobby show in Edison, NJ. Bachmann as well as other brand names will also be there. I bet Bachmann will bring Donald and Douglas. If you live in the tri-state area, this is the BOMB for model railroading. Here is the link: http://wghshow.com/shows/2011/edison.html

       Hello everyone,

I think what this board needs is some more current members. My idea is to create a one minute commerical on youtube, showing each of our layouts  (in pictures and video) as well was some screenshots of friendly discussion we have. Some ideas? Comments? Conserns?

HO / Which DCC System? Hornby or Bachmann?
November 12, 2010, 05:29:47 PM
 Hey guys,

I am in a dilemma. I am starting on my christmas list, (dont ask why, I got bored   )  and I was wondering , for the price, is Hornby Select the way to go. Because it is cheaper and, well, nicer looking(personal preference), although, I am not sure weather Compatibility with decoders and having to buy Hornby decoders ( I don't mind, and they are actually very cheap compared to the ones in the us), but I don't know, I really don't know. And also, I dont know if decoders fit in all my bachmann models (I know they will fit in Hornby though)

                                                                                                            Thanks, Sodoradventures(Tanner)

Thomas & Friends / Cleanliness of the thread
October 13, 2010, 04:44:07 PM
Hello everyone,

I want to bring up that some people are bring up old threads and here at the forums, we dont really like that, so if you dont mind, please refrain from doing that. On another note, I think we should be nicer to people that join the forum, and like they used to say, if you dont have to say, dont say it at all!

                                                                                                Thanks :)

 Hey everyone,

I need some help. I have an old Atlantic coast line train that I would like to convert couplings from horn hook(an old coupler) to the Thomas and friends Hook and loop Style. Any ideas will be appreciated!   I can supply with pictures if necessary.    :D

                                                                                                                              Thanks, Sodoradventures
