I've converted Bachmann ACELA to DCC and an ATHEARN Diesel to DCC by easily removing the Engine shell and installing the DCC board. I'm finding it very difficult to remove the shell from my two A unit FA2s. ANY HELP?

I purchased an EZ Command and Bachmann decoder 44915.
I installed the decoder and the loco runs fine but I've lost
my headlights. Is this normal? Any one else have the same results with a remedy?
