Williams by Bachmann / Locking in forward
June 15, 2013, 04:26:00 PM
I have a customer who has brought in a Williams 2361 Fairbanks Morse.  The engine runs like a charm, however he wants to lock it in forward due to certain track and accessories conditions on his pike.  Is there any way to accomplish this being as this unit has only the electronic reversing board.

Thank you,

When are these cars shipping to us?  I was told recently at York that they were in and shipping out, however that was on 4-19-13 and I have not seen anything as yet.

Thank you,

Williams by Bachmann / 2011 Platinum Club

I saw in a previous posting that the 2011 club cars should be in at the end of this year.  What about the 2012 Platinum Club membership, is that open as yet?

General Discussion / Bachmann Factory visit
July 11, 2010, 01:24:36 PM
Over the past winter I had the occasion to visit the Bachmann distribution center and repair facility in Philadelphia, PA.  I had a large scale Pennsylvanian set that was over 10 years old.  The locomotive was not operating properly.  I suspected a faulty drive gear.  I brought the locomotive into the facility; true to their limited lifetime warranty, the folks there replaced the chassis, headlight and repaired the smoke unit.  (All this for a $ 30.00 bench charge).  Excellent service!  Of course they commented on how pristine the locomotive was, thank you!

Folks, the point is, we operate a repair / refurbishing shop and I took my personal train to Bachmann!  They were fantastic!  I just recommended Bachmann to two customers who wanted to reenter the hobby.

What a pleasure it is to find a company today with TRUE customer service in mind and the willingness to stand behind their products!
