HO / Bachmann 4-2-0
February 22, 2017, 10:30:27 AM
* Bachmann made three I think. Prussian, Lafayette, and I maybe one called Pegasus which is one I have never seen. I am building a diorama of  the first terminal built on the Hudson River in Jersey City. Once started I have to totally stop any work on my Ho trains. Concentrating just on the project. The Railroad was the New Jersey Rail Road and Transportation Company. Lots of Railroad History in this Company, but very little information. I do think I can build it anyway.
* Now what this is about is I will be trying to get a few of these locomotives for the diorama. They don't have to run. Just sit and look nice.
* If forum members have these locos and wish to part with then please contact me. toptrain1@aol.com   .

HO / C&O George Washington train set by Bachmann.
December 02, 2015, 09:19:30 AM
* Does anyone or you Mr. Bach Man have any info on a Bachmann, " Master Railroad Series " train set the " George Washington ". It has a C&O USRA heavy mountain # 546, and is named George Washington. There are 8 cars, all heavy weights. A Combine, 3 Coaches, a Dinner, 2 Sleepers, and a Observation car. I am wondering when it was released ? How many were made ? Was it a general release made to all the public or only through a Historical society, or museum ? It is a beautiful set ! I do have photos but it is big and wont show very well at 128KB.
* if you can help, that would be nice. If nothing like that is available, then at least members here are now aware of this sets existence. To bad you don't have a way I could download to you a larger photo to be put in a forum file section with a link which could be posted to open a set of larger photos. Whichever is possible is OK !
* Thank you Mr. Bach Man !

today I purchased a HO USRA 2-10-2 loco. it is a DCC its instructions states, Quote [ Your Bachmann DCC-equipped locomotive is also 100 percent backwards-compatible with standard DC (non-digital) railroad layouts. ] end Quote. I take this to mean when I put this locomotive on my DC layout it will respond like a DC locomotive without any programming or change. No removal of DCC chip is necessary. In other words this locomotive will run on DC as well as DCC with no modification. I wonder if it is true? I can just put it on my layout and it will run.
