HO / question for Jonathan
January 10, 2014, 12:56:12 PM
After rereading your post on the best way to lube the spectrum 2-8-0 got to wondering if you had the Bachmann 2-6-6-2 and had ever attempted to lube it using the same method ?
actually had the boiler off mine for a bit of kitbashing but didn't even think of this at the time.

General Discussion / Kindle Fire
March 04, 2013, 01:16:16 PM
Have recently noticed that when i view posts on my Kindle Fire most posted pictures no longer show up(they used to) just a small blue square with a question mark,I say most because some posted pictures will appear though not mine .
I'm using Photo Bucket when i post pictures and am wondering whether the problem lays there (know PB has done some upgrades to their site) or just an incompatibility with my Kindle Fire.....all pictures show up just fine on my desktop computer.
just a bit irritating  ;D
Anyone have a Kindle fire and have a similar problem?

HO / You can't do this with a rattle can!
February 07, 2012, 11:06:08 AM
When it comes to light weathering only a airbrush will do the job correctly.

deciding that I would like my EM-1 to look a bit different from others I broke out the masking tape and a rattle can of oxide red and went to town,No didn't get to carried away just enough to be able to tell mine from the other fellers... ;D

HO / Anyone lubed their EM-1 yet?
January 23, 2012, 12:53:53 PM
Wondering if anyone has removed the bottom plates in order to lube their EM-1's driver axels and gear box yet.
If so does this engine use the tiny bronze fingers for electrical pick up like the 2-8-0 and 2-10-0 ? Jonathon ?
Found those to be really kinda finiky getting the bottom plate back in without bending them out of shape.
