General Discussion / Is this loco DCC ready?
April 08, 2021, 01:09:29 PM
Hi everyone. I was given an engine and discovered there is a removable hatch on top that reveals a circuit board. Can anyone explain what I'm looking at? Is the dcc ready? I appreciate your help! P.S. I wanted to upload photos to show you but the message board upload folder is full

Hi all, I am really baffled and would appreciate your help! I have a DCC layout with a reverse loop at each end.
There is an auto reverse module at each loop, I gapped the track in the same places, but only one of the reverse loops is working.
Here is a photo.

The area of track highlighted in blue has no power but all other track does and I can't figure out why. Really need your help!

Hi all, I could really use your help!

I have built a layout with a reverse loop at each end.

I have one EZ Command auto reverse loop module at each end. Each has a 5 amp max current draw.

Layout is powered by EZ Command DCC controller (item 44931) with 1 amp wall pack power supply.

There will be one loco running on this for now.

QUESTION: Do I need to get a 5 amp power booster (item 44910)?

General Discussion / 2 tracks 1 DCC controller...

Hi I have two separate lines running on my layout. Can I power the two separate tracks with one DCC controller?

Hi! I would welcome your input on this... I am currently running Bachmann Silver Series stock on a set that I have been developing for the past few years.I am using the power pack/speed controller that came with the original starter set–it is the small square with single dial and two ports to which I can wire accessories: item # 46605A. I am about to expand my layout and add a spiral vertical ramp (super excited about it). My question: is there a more powerful controller I can get to propel my trains up the planned incline?

I appreciate your help!

Well, so much for a relaxing night working on my layout... I set up the reversing track set, placed my new Brill trolley on it and...nothing. I am baffled especially since I ran it for some guests a few weeks back. Has anyone experienced this? I must have read and re-read the simple instructions 50 times... really bummed and would welcome any advice.

Are these products problematic? Should I return it?

Thanks,

February 07, 2011, 12:47:24 PM
Hi. I need to file down the switch points on several turnouts i have installed.
Can anyone suggest a tool I can use for this? I was thinking about a dremel,
but would welcome all suggestions! Thanks!

General Discussion / @#$%!! Turnout!!!!
February 05, 2011, 08:59:33 PM
I just got home with a new ez track turnout (HO Left) and my loco keeps jumping off when it is in the straight positon.
It turns fine, but I cannot figure out why it won't allow the train to go straight... are there simply bad turnouts? Should
I try to return it?

General Discussion / Gap track
January 31, 2011, 09:35:09 PM
Hi all, I'm new and eager to set up my first layout. I have completed a diagram of an oval layout with inner and outer tracks,
on which I'd like to be able to run 2 trains. Initially I thought I'd power up each separately to keep things simple, but then I
came across the idea of gap track—which would allow me to run 2 trains on the whole layout. Can someone describe this to me,
or refer me to a source that would better explain the idea? I have been reading Bachman's E-Z Model Railroads, but found the
explanation unclear. I appreciate your expertise!

General Discussion / Track Layouts

Hello and Happy Holidays! I got an HO set for Christmas (feel like a kid again) and I really want to put together an interesting layout. If anyone has some ideas or resources they would be willing to share I would very much appreciate it! The set is on a 4X7 foot board.
