I did that and.lost all pulling.power.......I have two small grades and they won't even pull 5 cars up the grade......found some 8 mm rubbers for dental braces that I am going to try tonight before I deal with Bachmann backorders

For what they are they run well......more reliving old memories that anytime else

Ok a little help here    I have a few old Bachman ho diesel locos that the rubber traction wheels have fell apart.....do they still offer these little rubbers and if so how the hell do you find them in the catalogs.....anybody got a part number

Current mechanic 35 years.   Father modeled all my life (55)  years and monthly used at on rails. Ho and o...I do it also and have not cleaned track in 2 years.  Nicole or brass and I run plastic and metal wheels.no I'll effects.i have many rolling stock that are older than I am that have run on at rails and are still just fine

Many parts inside automatic trannies are plastic...they operate with no ill affects

Was trying to avoid that. You would think you could find them in parts,,,they list them for n gauge. But could not find them for Ho

Aré the drive shafts turning,,,,,i hard to reattach mine right out of the box

Ok so I am going to convert all My 0-6-0 locos to 2-6-2 ,found leading and trailing trucks no problem,,,even found the springs. Problem is the mounting screws,.anybody have an idea as to the length and diameter or where I can find them in the bachman site

Yes Im seeing that,,,been buying new to go with the old and like what I have so far except that two of the steamers I have purchased have already had to be replaced in less than a years use when I have 20 and 30 year old engines that still run as good as My new ones,,,,,hell I still have My Santa Fe prairie that is going on 40 years old,first engine from a Starter set that ran the rails for hours at atime and still does

New here. Found My way here through looking for a repair request but system seem to be down,,,,,. I model Ho and inch and a half scale.been out of it do to life,but back in with a vengence. I am mainly steam,but starting to look at early deisele to. Hope to chat and maybe help a few out. Tis a great hobby that is what you make of it
