Should go in fairly easy. Try turning it over.

HO / Re: "Time Saver" material list
January 17, 2024, 03:06:51 PM
Thanks everybody! all was helpful. I found the material list in the book you advised. It's too cold in my garage to run my layout (15 degrees), so I'm going to build this one in the hose to give me something to do until it warms up.

Thanks for the help. I'm thinking of using Peco code 100 track. Would that change the material list.

Did Bachmann veer make a diesel locomotive with this road name? Possibly a Spectrum. If so, when?

HO / EZ track rerailer with wire
February 28, 2023, 07:22:39 PM
I wonder how many of these I'll need to add to my track plan to be used as bus wires. My track plan is two 4' x 8' sections joined together by a 2' x 4' section ?

Does Bachmann make a longer red power wire or an extension for the short one?

HO / EZ command control system
October 21, 2014, 06:39:42 PM
The F8 button on my EZ command controls the engine noise on my locomotives. When my locomotive starts up the sounds are great, but as I increase the throttle, the engine noise increase almost to a siren pitch and never decreases until I reduce the speed and stop the locomotive. If I push the #8 button, all engine noise stops. Bell & horn still work fine. Is the #8 button suppose to control the engine noise, or is something else going on?  It's a new Bowser locomotive.

Is about 4oz the correct weight for a 40 ft box car? Many of my cars seem light.

General Discussion / Lionel clock
December 11, 2013, 02:15:35 PM
Here's one for you Lionel fans. I bought a used Lionel 100th anniversary clock in an antique store. It keeps time perfectly but the train that goes around on the hour and makes sounds, sticks. Anybody know how to fix that? Someone out there must have seen or owned one of these. They came out in 2000. Thanks for any help.

I run all Bachmann 40' stock cars at my farm. The uncoupling doesn't always work when leaving cars on the siding. Any suggestions?

How do I determine what size Bachman wheel sets to by? 33" or 36". I have mostly Bachmann silver series rolling stock, but have misc. others.

I'm going to weather some box car and a Plasticville barn using Doc O'Brians weathering chalk. Should I use dulcoat before or after using the chalk?

HO / EZ Command Control System
November 21, 2012, 12:35:51 AM
I just converted to DCC using the Bachmann system. My new Bachmann switcher w/sound is working great. Problem is I tried my Bachmann Alaska DC, using the #10 as described in the directions, it jerked several times and then stopped. This locomotive has always worked fine on my DC layout. Any suggestions on want I may be doing wrong?
