you can do a 12 inch diameter in flexi Peco Streamline N gauge/scale

some 0-6-0 locos will go around unmodified , other (same model) loco will need center driver flange removed. and some shave off the loco cab roof to gap betwee loco and tender - trial & error.

the plymoth switcher will do 12 inch - the 44 tonner will go around with some removal of the 'pip' that hold the bogie/truck to the chassis

the 'Brill' trolly can manage 12 inch circle

for couples use the long type , rapido or EZ

cant seem to post photos of my layout with tight curves - will keep trying

Now although there isn't as much merchandise behind Derek, he is a fan favourite character and he is a character alot of people want to recreate. He is a class 17 which Bachmann again has that tooling available.

Now the Class 17 is a cheaper model and probably easier for Bachmann to produce and sell.

funny thing is I always thought the class 17 was a Heljan model and not Bachmann (apart from the Dave Alexanderer Kit) , please correct me if wrong along with catapouge number.

why , O' why do all engines close their eyes and sqirm when blowing their whistles - it makes you think they are constipated

please mr Bachmann , we need a DCC (or DC with included controler) a talking Sir Topham Hat .

he would suit any scale .

must admit that over the past couple of years Bachmann has ''pulled' their sock's up , and improved their train's otherwise they would have been out of business .

General Discussion / Re: Insulated rail joiners

I'd just like to point out that EZ Track is the only track system that NEEDS a special gap track. The others use those insulating joiners that sell for about $5 for two dozen.

way back in time manufacturers (UK) Hornby Dublo - Trix and Tri-ang all had isolating rails in their track systems , able to be connected to a on/off switch

if using insulating rail joiners just get the right code of track to rail joiner

I have recently started to model Thomas in HO/00 as living in the UK

and familiar with Bachmann N and Ho scale split gears - are these still

common in the Thomas range of engine's ?
