Thank you Rich,
You said "pry off the cover from boiler".  It is so stiff, I am afraid I might bend it.  :-[

Thank Rich,
This comes with 8 pin female plug.    I checked the diagram and wonder how to take the boiler from chassis and the boiler cover from boiler to put the bulb.

Hi,
I found that the headlight is not working.   Is there anyone who has the experience to change a light bulb of headlight on this loco?

Thank you.

Hi,
I have always hard time to take out this connector between loco body and tender.  Do you have any tool you can recommend for this task? ???

Hi, Thank you for your comment.
I use EZ command system and run DC. The loco starts moving at 20% of power setting.  It is normal.   But it moves at half of full power with Dynamis and Bachmann DCC decoder.   Is there something going on?

I did change CV2 value all the way up but there is no difference.  This loco still needs half of power to move.

Thank you responding my message.
This loco comes with DC only.  So, I unplug and plug in Bachmann DCC decoder and did test run because I don't know how to run loco with Dynamis DCC controller.   Anyway, thank you  very much.   If I change a good sound decoder, it should get more  response from throttle.    :)

HO / Is this HO shay defective?
February 28, 2013, 05:36:43 AM
Hi everyone,
I won and received a HO shay on eBay.   I checked the item and let it run for a while.   I noticed that when 50% of power  is applied , the loco starts to move.  The other locos start to move at 1 or 2 level out of 28.  Loco is brand new.    Is this defective?

Hi,
Is there anyone who installed ESU Loksound Select sound decoder into this loco?   What is the size of speaker fits in this tender and can 8 pin plug works in this loco?  Is there anything I have to prepare before this project?

Thank you.
