If a scale one is produced would it have some flexibility with the wheel sets so it could negociate O-48 insteadof the O-72 track?

Another thing we noticed with the LED replacement are the WBB engine-F-7 ACL runs very smooth.
It now has a slow start up, smoothly runs around the 7x9 layout. Most notable was that we can run the train at a slow speed without it stopping when you get further from the power source.
The lighting does brighten up the cab area and it looks cool!!

Just wnted to post some feedback.
When I get the Town&Country LED's I will install those and see what happens.

Stayin on Track!

Hi Lee

I saw those E-Z Streets demonstrated on a U-Tube video about York and YES I now want one for the layout.
Somehow the look of cars moving along with the trains makes for a nice looking active town or slice of a city in motion.
Very cool.

In the conversation there was talk of E-Z technology coming to locomotives does that mean WBB has some surprizes for us???

Also check out Town and Country Hobbies

They have 18v LED's with the built in resistance needed for electric trains

I bought some of theirs today also

Williams by Bachmann / LED light Bulb replacement
December 30, 2014, 10:51:59 PM
Hi Folks

After too long a time I finally got around to replacing the bulbs in my WBB F-7 Atlantic Coast Line units.
From ACE ELECTRONICS i ordered white 12-15 V Bayonet Base Bulbs LED's to replace the incandescent ones.
Order number is 55-111W-1

I don't know what took me so long but it was easy to take the shells off both units and to replace the bulbs.
The LED's make a big difference now I plan to replace all my WBB steamer and diesel bulbs with these LED's.
If 3 rail or anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Can these bulbs go brighter?

Hi Wyatt

I am leaving for Ft Myers Florida thursday with my 2 youngest kids-pullin them right out of school!!!
In Naples there is a Seaboard TRain museam at a reconditioned Seaboard Train Station. Inside is a Huge model train museam have never been inside but saw it this past June when I was there.
They had some Seaboard Streamliner passenger cars and a lot of other items.

In addition this hobby store I visit in Ft Lauderdale was closing out their train section and I picked up a SEABOARD NW-2 last one they had along with a Peter Witt Philly-last one couldn't pass up the price!!!!

I p[lan to take pictures hope to post any good stuff.

Wyatt your Seaboard looks great!!

I like the Southern one too!!

Hope this helps
I have a Lionel 1950's Hudson
A couple dozen WBB O-Gauge Locomotives(Steamers and Diesels)
Lionel Lionchief Plus 3 different types

I run all of them on 2 Lionel CW-80's. Everything works just great have not had a problem.

In fact my 11 year old son and I were running the LC Pluses tonight on those CW-80's and all 3 were smokin galore.

Yes I do intend to get a bigger and better transformer the Bachmann to be exact. It's just that work and time constraints as well as family have put a hold on some of our layout projects and plans.

Today was the first time in over a month we ran those trains and spent over an hour smokin up the basement, great mental health!!!

Have been there many times.
Several of their locomotives are from the former "KiddieLand" which my parents brought me to when I was a child. I had the pleasure of being there on the last week it was open so my 5 children could experience it!!!!!

It is wonderful they were able to acquire the steamers and F-3 "16" inch gauge? locomotives.

Make sure you go on Halloween for the Ghost Train ride!!!!

thank you 3-rail for the great information about the LED's I do plan to switch out on the cabooses too.

WM  I have accumulated a bunch of WBB locomotives both steamer and diesel I'll have to try to add them up. Our favorites are the Semi-Hudsons, F-3's, and GP-30's. We did get a Chessie System GP-38 which Joey went bonkers over and WBB did a "premier" paint job, just love that Yellow and dark blue!!!

I may have mentioned on an earlier thread, a big box type Hobby Shop down in Ft Lauderdale was reducing its train dept.
I picked up a ACL F-7 set and they had the B-unit too!!! I liked the paint job WBB did, turns out the shade of purple WBB used was also accurate as ACL had some versions of their purple until they decided to switch due to prohibitive costs for painting and repainting. I really like those ACL F-7's.

Anyway I'll try to stay current now that things have calmed down abit here.

Hi wmwalker

what a summer!!

2 of the youngins were at a military academy for the summer and with 3 teens it was one busy summer. since Joe came back we ran the trains a few time.

There is a LED company where I bought some test bulbs.I have my ACL Williams F-7 on the table where I plan to swap out the bulbs.

I have recently swapped out those CFR bulbs for LED's-on sale at Costco. The lighting is a lot better, less wattage and heat. With the purchase of those GP-30's where Williams have LED's installed they look great and light up with an intensity that mimics what you see in real life.

You re-painted GP's look great keep us posted with progress.

Missed any info about what Williams has planned for the future anything on U-Tube?

I don't want to commit sacrilege but HTH is coming out with a German BR-44. When I was an exchange student in the DDR(East Germany) I rode many a mile in passenger cars pulled by those old German Steamer BR-44's. Mike has the chuff and that distinct Euopean whistle sound. It looks very impressive on the track and it's the one thing I don't mind dropping the bucks on for nostalgia reasons!!!

Happy Trains!!!

If you have a COSTCO near you they sell a nice filter very inexpensive that will filter out the particles in the air leave a nice scent and is cheap to run. If you want let me know as I don't recall the name right now
