I already have quite a few of MMI"s k series engines, so I doubt that I would buy one from Bachmann. But, I am all for a c-21 and c-25.

Spectrum is the top of the line of Bachmann Trains.

Sorry, I can not help you. I have never had a problem removing or installing any of my railjoiners.

Well, that is all the real railroad did. The engine is the same size in standard gauge as it is in narrow gauge

Large / Re: Tie Spacing on Bachmann Brass Track
November 01, 2012, 08:32:03 PM
The track will be more than likely 36" long, not three 12" pieces. But the ties will be spaced futher apart than their other track. Bachmann is going to make it  look more like narrow gauge track for the 1:20.3 equipment. That said. I would not count on the ties being evenly spaced apart until I seen it.

I also received the sale flier. As stated, you have to be on Micro-Marks e-mail list to get the sale price.

I use ANYRAIL, and I like it. I have considered buying the full version, and some day I probably will. But for now the free version is all I need to use.

On30 / Re: How much track can I use with my power supply

The problem you may have is a drop in power the further away you get from the power supply section. This will cause the train to slow down. This can be fixed by adding power connections at different locations around the layout.

Well. I went back and watched the video again. Darn. Looks like I will be getting one of these. I just have to figure out which one I want.

I am looking forwards to the 2-4-4-2. And I think a few of the 18' cars are in order. I can letter them to the railroad I want.

I would like to see a Brazillian Texan made. As I don't need to worry about tight curves, the size is not a problem for me. As a matter of fact, the bigger the better, as long as it is narrow gauge.

But the Bachmann catalog lists the car as 16", which means they are measuring the coupler lenght also. Bruce

A little more information would  nice. Are they large, or smaller? Any Pictures? You might try measuring the door height, and calibrate the scale that way.  Bruce

You are right about the measurements being different from one manufacture to an other. But I have found that most manufactures measure from the couplers, not the body's. Especially in the O gauge world.
