Thanks Rich1998, My decoder is hard wired to an 8 pin connector, which I plugged into the board. I spliced my KA4 into the green w/yellow stripe wire AND the  BLUE COMMON wire as per instructions. I did not alter any connections. I did see a video, on YOU TUBE that ( if I remember right) That I was to clip one lead of the capacior. I am wondering if I do this my headlight will work again....It has me confused   BREEZY8

Me again....the yellow horseshoe is a "capasitor" (SP) marked 105

I installed a new TSC KA 4 in my 4-6-0 as per instructions  and it works great...my problem is...I don't have a headlight now....I saw a video somewhere that I should ( I think) clip one lead on the yellow horse shoe looking resistor (?)(I'm not a electronics expert) on the BACHMAN BOARD. Did I remember right? Thanks in advance....BREEZY8

I have a SPECTRUM 4-8-2 LT MTN. with  SOUND TRAXX ECONOMI 100 DECODER installed.  when I fie it up , it idels just fine. add throttle , 1, or 2 notches and it goes JERKEY. IT WILL MOVE 1", LIGHTS GO OUT,sound goes off and then it will start moving again..sometimes 3"s,some times more, sometimes less... then it goes JERKEY again. Track is clean, wheels too. When I first installed the decoder, It ran just fine, and has until recently . Any ideas?   I don't have much hair left to pull...LOL..  BREEZY8

   Jonathan, I found my problem. The main gear on the drive axil was spinning on the shaft.  I could hold the gear and spin the drivers....A drop of super glue where the gear and shaft meet and  WOW....IT RUNS LIKE A CHAMP.  Thanks for your thoughts...and help...TONY  aka  breezy8

Jonathan, The worm gear is brass and the belt is in good shape. I will remove the plate and see if the wheels are setting where they are supposed to be. That may be what I am looking for. The gear on the axil LOOKS ok...not striped....I have pulled the shell off so many times in the last 2 days, I did it in my sleep...LOL....I will let you know what I find....THANKS...TONY  aka   breezy8

I have a SPECTRUM 4-8-2 and it seems that the WORM GEAR and the DRIVER GEAR are NOT making contact.....Decoder works fine, but it is FREE WHEELING ( no gear contact) I can turn the drivers easily. Any ideas as to a solution to this?  Any help would be GREAT....TONY  AKA breezy8

I HAVE A HO  4-8-2 LT MTN loco Item # 81601, that after running a while,it just stops moving.  The DCC decoder still works(sound) but it trys to move( with finger push) about an inch , then stops again, and repeats, ect, ect, ect..... It is like the gear is slipping on the shaft or something...Any ideas?  I was pulling 11 cars on a FREE MO layout.  not a big load....Any help would be great....BREEZY8

   I just bought a spectrum 4-6-0 and was wondering.....I want to install a soundtraxx economi decoder and speaker......My question is...where is the best place to mount these.?  There is room in the tender for the decoder, but I am running out of room for a speaker really fast....and if you can, what speaker would you recommend?....Many thanks....breezy8

I have to agree with you all. A new run of motive power would be nice....Like ALCO STEAM LOCO'S.....4-6-0's, 2-8-0's, 2-6-0's, 2-6-2's.  These are made today, BUT!!!!   NOT  ALCO STEAM....I for one would like to see them again.  Just my  2 cents worth....BREEZY8

trainman203...  My 4-8-2 is running great.  Now I have just one more question.....Will these settings work on DIESEL loco's too.....I have a GP9 w/ a tsunami th1000 & sound that I am having trouble with....trying these CV's...It won't start moving until I get to speed step 3.....cv 209=240, cv210=200....any ideas???THANKS AGAIN   breezy8
