I got the base from a friend now and decided to use my athearn bluebox sd40-2 the length is perfect i just need to mill pff part of the frame.

I am working on designing a Cardstock fantasy homebuilt RDC style car and am thinking to give it character using a GP7 frame could someone do a quick measure for me if you have one of the length (coupler to coupler) Width and height of the frame (from base above wheels to top of weight) Hope someone can be quick as I would like to get started ASAP....

Well everyone has their own style, I use switchlists made in numbers for when i run. Or just block s train and pick up and replace cars in that.

Pretty nice layout, defnitely more of the fun than ops style. What control do you use? DC or DCC

It was just the basic DC I think it was two small ones at most for a very short time but the weird thing was it was not the same direction (and only one direction) on two controllers bought around the same time.

I have two controllers both of which this happened to they work fine in one direction but the other they overheat and have less of the output. Does anyone know what the cause of this was and if it is common? I don't think I will replace them but want to know who's end the problem was caused on. Thanks for any help.
