Thanks Loco Bill,

Just after I posted a question about why one of my Big Haulers locos wouldn't respond to a particular remote, I read your post.  The remote transmitter I have is a 27 MHz unit and I tried to connect with a loco with a cab number of 9 (49 MHz).  If all else fails, read the book!

Large / Big Hauler 4-6-0 won't respond to remote

Hello again,

I have a couple of Big Hauler 4-6-0's, one of which I just posted a question about boiler handrails.  I also have a complete set with all the accessories in a box from KayBee toys ($99.99 marked down to $79.99!) That loco responds to the included remote.  Are there locos that aren't set up for remote control?  It looks like the non-responding unit has the antenna running around the cab roof, but won't respond to the remote included with the complete set.

Thanks

Hello,
I recently purchased a Big Hauler set (Santa Fe 4-6-0) and the handrails that run along either side of the boiler from the cab to near the front of the smokebox are damaged.  I've looked at the Backmann parts site and spoken with Ruth at Bachmann with no results.  She referred me here.  If anyone has a lead, please help.  I can't upload a photo because the directory is full(?)  Thanks!
