Hey Bob,

Happy Belated Birthday wishes to one of the truly nice guys on our forums! As another late blooming, new comer to model railroading, it's always a pleasure to read your informative postings. I'm really enjoying my humble efforts in my new hobby. Happy Modeling to All the Great Folks on this Forum !

Thanks for all the valuable and knowledgeable information, folks.

I'll keep an eye out for the new BLI 2-8-2 Mikado Locomotives. I hope that some will display the PRR Road Name.

HO / Spectrum 2-8-2 Mikado (PRR and other Road Names) ?

  :)

Hi Mr. Bach Man,

Is there any chance that we may be seeing an HO Scale, Spectrum 2-8-2 Mikado Steamer, DCC  ready, (like the Spectrum K4 4-6-2 Pacific pre - war PRR, product now available), in PRR, and other appropriate Road Names, any time in the near future ? I'm a newbie to the hobby,  so I appologize if this topic has already appeared on these pages, or if the Loco was available in the recent past production lines. Thanks for any information that can be provided.

Hi Bob,

I sincerely hope you, and many others, are able to remain on this site.
I, for one,  have always enjoyed reading your postings, advice, and knowledgeable comments, as well as many of the other experienced modelers, and newbies who contribute to this site. It has truly become a special place, to hang out, for me, and I'm sure many other newbies! Also, as a person who can't move around as much as I used to, I have enjoyed seeing other folks photo logs, of their railroad travels, as well as the photos of the wonderful modeling work done by the site contributors. I'm sure all of these issues will be ironed out by the most appreciated, Bachman !

I also have to admit to a fascination with the Pre-WWII mystery trains such as the Twentieth Century and the elegant Orient Express, and would love to see these sets available in the Bachmann Spectrum DCC ready, product line, with lights and smoke, of course ! I was recently delighted to be able to put together an HO set of the legendary CNJ "Blue Comet", using a the recently released IHC "BC" 4-6-2 Pacific Loco and tender and a "MIB" set of older release, Rivarossi "BC" Passenger cars.

Thanks John

It sounds like the MRC symphony 77, may be something I will consider for my future 4 x 8 Steam, Passenger and Freight Layout. Im guessing that you have the ability to program a nice variety of appropiate and somewhat realistic sound effects ? I was wondering, do any of you other folks have any experience with this system ?

HO / Re: EZ Track Book

John,

Hopefully Bachmann will come out with a 2nd edition of this new book, with a bunch of additional layout plans.  From what I'm hearing, the new book is good,  but could use many more layout ideas than those that are presented.

Hi Bob,

I'm sure we would enjoy seeing a selection of your railroad trip photos also. Especially for those of us who have a bit of difficulty travelling.

I, for one, am fascinated by both the Climax and the Shay locomotives. If some of their operating & dependability problems could be addressed, I would love to add one or both to my collection.
