i heard a rumour that boco, daisy and oliver are here next year, but not sure how true it is. i hope it is very true and happens in febuary in 2014.

so what would everyone hope to see been realeased over the next 2 years??

ho scale

boco, daisy, oliver, murdoch, wilbert, pre flying kipper henry, black james (as per the first apperance in the book)and the narrow gauge engines. also toad would be nice to go with douglas

large scale

edward, henry, gordon, duck, donald, douglas, oliver, bill, ben, spencer, and toad. also the express coaches that gordon uses in green and cream and red and white as used by james

after looking at the comarison picture on the top of page 2 i know from experiance that henry would be a further 3 inches longer than emily and gordon would be a further 5 inches longer than emily. if the coaches were made as well then thwould be about henrys length.

has anyone got a comparison pic of the ho henry, gordon, emily, james, thomas and percy? you will see what i mean. if you do please post on here as i can not as i only have the other thomas range.

the trade off for that would be that there would be no moving eyes. its an interesting idea tho that large scale can have narrow gauge engines and that ho could have narrow gauge. i know in the uk there are now two companies producing 009 ready to run locomotives and rolling stock.

i also wonder if there is anyone out there who would be willing to put money towards the drawings and the manufacture of the tool??

Thomas & Friends / narrow gauge engines idea???
March 27, 2013, 02:42:49 PM
well looking at the collection of large scale thomas and friends and hoping to see where that range goes, why dont bachmann make the narrow gauge engines for the large scale range but using the o gauge track?????

that would make bachmann the only manufacturer to make the narrow gauge engines whick could be reduced in the scales to suit ho as well. anyone else got any views on this????

if i get 10,000 views or responses i will compile a portfolio for bachmann to consider so show your support and lets make the sodor dream a reality

well i know that there is already a wish list topic, but i feel a new one was needed.

its been a disapointing realease year for hornby but now i prefer bachmann.

to start im glad that bachmann are going to realease duck. i would love to see oliver to complete the numerical sequence. why not use bachmanns annie and clarabel to make the coaches as seen in series one to three. they are the same colour as annie and clarabel just without their names.

i would also like to see arther and bachmann do a flying scotsman as was in the original books.

engines:original stories;daisy and boco, stepney,city of truro,wilbert, sixteen,
D199 and the hymek (bear) and the narrow gauge engines, mountain engines             and ducks little engines
              new stories;charlie belle, billy, whiff,

i know theres alot there but its nice to wish
what does everone else think?

March 02, 2010, 06:59:52 AM
exited about the release of the scottish twins but where are the nameplates going to be? are they goiung to be at the front as we all first saw them when they got there names painted on them or are they going to be as the new series has them in the middle. i would prefer them at the front
