General Discussion / wiring switches and led's
June 22, 2013, 02:43:30 PM
Another wiring question. Can any one supply me with a wiring diagram showing me how to wire in switches and LED's on the control panel and to the following areas of the layout:
1) switch (SPST or Buchmann turnout switch provided?) on control panel with a BIPOLOR LED also on control panel, then wiring to the turnout.
2) switch (SPST or DPDT ?) on control panel to light (LED) also on control panel then wiring to the track.
One more question should these LED's have resistors wired into each of these applications?

General Discussion / wiring turnouts
June 22, 2013, 02:08:44 PM
I went to a clinic on wiring, one of the things that told us was to put in a jumper from each of the tracks to the moveable track. This was so if the moveable section gets dirty you have power problems with your trains. My questions can this be done with the Buchmann turnouts? I looked at one of mine, it doesn't look possable or easy. Any suggestions?

HO / Control Panel Design and Build
September 17, 2012, 05:57:48 PM
Does anybody have a suggestion on how to layout and build a control panel. The info I need is what switches, lites, controls, wiring, etc. are the best to use? Is there any software help in designing a panel? I have a company, listed in my favorites with a internet site, called www.controlpaneldesign.com. I have not used it yet, are there any other softwares available?

I'm interested by the answer to hcopter51 question also. I asked Atlas about wiring the same Atlas TT and if I can use the Bachmann Reversing Loop Module. I did not receive any answer. Thank You all for your replys.

Thank You all for your info. I think I will use two Bachmann Reverse Loop Modules. One on my main line reverse section and the other hooked up to the two Turntables. Maybe I won't need to use it for the Atlas Turntable.

HO / Re: Reverse Loop Module
March 20, 2012, 05:08:29 PM
I'm back from the winter vacation in Florida and back to railroading. On page 30 of" Model Railroader book"," DCC Projects & Applications" it states to use a MRC AD310 decoder for the reverse application for a turntable. Who makes it, sells it, etc? Thanks again for any help given.

HO / HO Hump Yard
December 31, 2011, 03:50:02 PM
Has any body build a HO layout with a working Hump Yard? To simulate  the worlds biggest yard in North Platte NE. Is it possible to push cars up or down a Hump into staging sidings? Thank You in advance for any info.

HO / Re: under track magnet

What is the part number for HO gage E-Z track (under track magnet)? There is a number in "N" scale track 78998. Would this work also with HO scale track, or is there a product from Kadee that works?

General Discussion / Re: DC controller PDF
June 07, 2011, 06:11:55 PM
Thank You. What I need to know is the DC output, to the track, is it 12VDC for this  item no. 46605A controller? I want to use this controller, if possible, to control a Walters Turntable drive 942-472. The instructions on the motor are "Wire the motor to a DPDT switch and then a power source. The motor is designed to run on a maximum of 12VDC."  I could wire them together  and see if it works but I do not what to burn out the motor.
