Many Thanks again Bill

We haven't had any wiring to the truck for about ten years (electrical connection to track is not a good idea with Batt/RC), we have added extra weight to the truck and yes all our track is laid pretty much level.

But my front truck still derails and regularly falls to pieces. I'm guessing its just worn out and that's why I want to replace it.

Given the speed with which the New Generation trucks sold out there could be a lot of Bachmann Annie users who were disappointed - or a lot who were ingenious and are just a bit shy of showing us all how its done!

Pictures please!

Is the New Generation Annie pilot truck a direct replacement for the Old Generation Annie truck?

If not what can be done to make it fit. We are all battery/RC so I am not concerned about electrical connections.

Many Thanks

Stan

Sounds very interesting. Please please could we hear a sample - just for Christmas.

How is the 2nd chuff sensor connected to which Phoenix board?

Thanks very much Kevin.

I've been well trained in the kstrong school of thinking so that's exactly the options that I had identified - just a bit more patience needed then.

I'm stumped trying to get the lid/cover off the steam chest. This is an Annie with Walschaerts and the bigger steam chest, with non-slip effect on the top.

The exploded parts diagram shows that the top is a separate part that looks like its a push-fit. But it doesn't pull back out!

Am I missing a fixing screw or is there a special technique?

Many Thanks

Thank you BachmannMan, I thought I had remembered you saying that before.

But it no longer exists. And it was difficult to find in UK. And I was hoping for a rattle can.

So what are today's alternatives? Can you give me a colour code that I can try to match to please?

Planning a coach bash and trying to match up some paint!

What is the greyish green paint finish of the Bachmann WP&YR JS passengers cars called?

Or what would be a good match?

Many Thanks Bob C

Removing the screw that attaches the Johnson bar reach rod is in my saved copies of the instructions from:

Ashpit
Dave Goodson
Russ McIntire

But I'd love to avoid doing that (particularly reconnecting it!) so will happily go with what you recommend.

Thanks again

I have two of these lovely Connies with busted gears.

First one I replaced last year OK using all the available instructions online including Mik's the-ashpit site and JohnLythgoes' book.

They all include instructions for disconnecting/reconnecting the Johnson bar reach rod. That was the most difficult step in my experience.

So my question for Bob C. is:

Can you please confirm that it is not necessary to disconnect/reconnect the Johnson bar reach rod using your method?

Many Thanks

Thank you very much Mr Bachmann

But unfortunately Floquil Boxcar red isn't anywhere near the colour of my other WP&YR roofs!

How about Floquil Caboose red, also at

While I have your attention, do you also recall what the WP&YR passenger car green/grey is?

Thanks again

Can you tell me what colour red I need to find to match the roof of these cars please?

Mr Bachmann

I bought a number of these reefers that were described as "as new Bachmann G Scale billboard reefers", with no mention of the wheels having been downgraded to plastic wheels.

Would you have a view on whether Bachmann G Scale billboard reefers with plastic wheels are "Bachmann reefers"? Could they be a copy/clone/pirated version?

Many Thanks

I'd like to know if the Brewery Big Hauler Billboard reefers were originally supplied with plastic wheels, please. e.g. Rampo, Riverhorse, Dogfish head type cars.

One for Loco Bill perhaps?
