Willbeck,

I will keep an eye out, but your best bet is to set up an Ebay search, save the search and mark it  for email alerts.

This method has worked especially well for me in the past.

Good luck, Bill

That's what I have set up for now, thank you!

When I was looking for a black unlettered Connie, I had good lunch posting here :)

Thanks!

The fit on mine was very tight, don't remember if it was keyed or not.

FWIW, I also have the Meadow River Shay.

Wow, good tip. I wonder how well it works on the locos. I have a Big Haulers bobber caboose that i can't seem to sell, so i'll practice on that.

thanks for the tip Barry. If i'm successful, i may need a second drive :)

Regarding the removal of the lettering, something i learned customizing cars, if you can preserve the original finish, the end result tends to be better. I'd prefer to start with a blank canvas. Thank you for the tips though!

Hello,

I know the Connie's are discontinued, but I am trying to hunt down the Painted, unlettered one in black. I have found a few with the red/white trim, but would really prefer the black. Does anyone know where i might find one?

Other than ebay occasionally, i have not found a store that has one in stock anymore.

Thanks in advance!

I wonder if Bachmann has any input?

Smoke generator with chuff capability would be fantastic.

Also would be nice to see the passenger coaches come out as well.

Carter Bro's coaches would be my vote as well. Nice to see something different than what is available, yet compatible.

I think they would sell extremely well, i know i would pick up a coach and combine immediately.

Also, offer undecorated, and west coast NG lines. Pacific Coast, and others come to mind.

I have the meadow river Shay with the tallest stack.

Height:
8 1/4" Railhead to top of stack.
7 1/2" Railhead to top of cab.

Length:
29 1/2" coupler to coupler

Width:
5 1/2"

unsure on weight, and i am converting to battery r/c.
