I have one of the newer 2 truck Shays.  The wire to the chuff contacts has broken.  I can see the wire because I removed the two screws that hold the cylinder assembly but I cannot remove the assembly.  What is the proper procedure for removing the assembly and what would you suggest as to how to go about repairing the broken wire to the chuff contacts?

Is this engine DCC equiped and if not,  can it be DCC equiped?  Are the circuit boards in the tender?   How about sound?  How hard is it to install sound in 4-4-0?

I am very interested in puchasing this engine.  I would like to know if it is DCC ready?  If not, how tough is it to converted to DCC?
