Mr Emerson, thank you for that info on the backup light. After contacting Sound traxx I was informed that this Tsunami is a modified unit they call the mini as there are lots of the programmable features NOT there. Instead of 8 different whisles, there are only three.Rule 17 programs differently also. Frustration factor was high until I got the correct
information from Sound traxx which Bachmann does not supply. Was told by a service person at Bachmann after I finally got some one to answer a phone instead of voice mail, that the CV's available are on the web site so I'll go find them and download that bit of information.

Why does this engine not have a back up light. On the illustrated parts list it does not show the front headlight though there is one. LED or incandescent?I have heard so much about the Tsunami sound unit yet my engine purchased 8/23/08 sounds like an old time thrashing machine right out of the box. Yes I have down loaded the users and tech guide and I am getting it to sound more like a steam engine than a grain cutter but there is a lot of CV's that are being changed/altered that I don't believe I should have to do to have a decent sounding engine to start with. I should be able alter it to sound like a thrashing machine if I chose, not be forced to adjust away from that sound.
