Thanks for your reply, I was running the locomotive for a while today and it seems to be okay.
I was thinking of some air tanks or some thing larger than a small too box that I got with the locomotive.

On30 / Bachmann 2-4-4-2
January 10, 2017, 09:13:23 AM
I recently purchased the above locomotive but have some questions about it.
The connecting wires from the loco to the tender hang quite low and I need to get them a bit higher.
I would like some ideas on what to put on the front space above the leading truck as I do not like the look at it from that point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

On30 / Bachmann rail buses and trailers
October 28, 2016, 05:03:32 PM
I have recently purchased a rail bus and trailer item Number 28461 Midwest Quarry and Mining and I have a couple if questions about  it.

I will be running this item in standard DC not DCC and was wondering if there is any thing I must do with regards to the decoder and the dummy plug as mentioned in the instructions.
At this time I would like to request a replacement set of gears in case I run into problems.
Is it possible for you to register this item for me as I live in Canada and am not near a Post Office to buy a USA stamp.

Thank you very much

On30 / Re: shay with sound card
January 21, 2016, 07:44:23 PM
I purchased it from Internet Trains a while ago and it was brand new.
When I increase the power the headlight comes on but then the more power I give it it just goes out and will not move, I believe it has  DCC   supplied but I am running it on standard DC.
Hope this helps.

On30 / shay with sound card
January 19, 2016, 07:02:50 AM
A few months back I asked about my Shay that has a sound card installed on it.
At the same time I purchased a new power pack because I was advised that the one I was using will not run the locomotive with out stalling but it still will not run well.
At that time I asked how to remove the sound card and I did get a reply but I seem to have lost it some where.
I would appreciate any help I can get on how to this or should I just send it to Bachmann and have them do it.

Thanks

Sorry it took so long to reply to your post about the Heisler with sound.
The sound was already installed on the locomotive when I purchased it from Bachmann, now I want to uninstall it from the loco as the new power pack that I just purchased will not run it properly, I try to slowly increase the power gradually but nearly all the times it just stalls.

I read the instructions that you sent to me but I am not sure on how to get this sound out of the locomotive tender, I was hoping it was just removing the module but I do not think that is what is required to do this.

Maybe I should just send it to Bachmann and have them do it for me, but that gets involved with customs etc when it is returned.

Thank you

On30 / heisler with sound
September 07, 2015, 09:37:01 AM
I recently purchased one of the above locomotives but it is giving me problems, it has a sound module and I do not want it there.
The reason is it takes too much power for both of my power packs to get it to run well, one of the power packs is brand new and i thought it would be able to handle it but it just sits on the track with the headlight on but will not move.

Any body have any thoughts on this?.

Thanks

On30 / Re: DC conversion to DCC
May 31, 2015, 06:31:30 AM
I am more concerned about the wiring that is required for converting to DCC and is there any thing about what to do with switches that are on my lay out.
My Locomotives  are all Bachmann that have decoders already installed on them.

On30 / DC conversion to DCC
May 30, 2015, 03:32:11 PM
Can some one tell me how to convert my fairly large DC ON 30 lay out to DCC.
I have been putting this off for years now and would like to know what I would have to do to convert, such as wiring, cost etc.
The main reason for doing this is I can not find a suitable power supply with a sound system for steam locomotives, and I need a new power pack as one of my 2 power packs will not run the Heisler locomotive and I have been told that is because of the sound module.

I have been checking out the Bachmann Easy Command Digital Command Control System as the price seems to be in my price range.
Thanks

No I have used this forum before when I was searching for answers as to why my Forney 2-4-4 will not stay on the rails.

Boy am I ever upset, yesterday I received a replacement 2-4-4 Forny that I had sent in for repair along with a pulp wood car with load.

Upon opening the box and reading the instructions I started to apply the dummy DCC plug and the 3 or more parts just fell off the side of the engine, litterally, now I would not know how to put them back on so I am again asking for a replacement loco but I should not have to pay again for shipping, not only that i could not find out where to apply the plugs, I presume they are under the tender?.

Please give this your best attention and reply
