Large / 2012 Large Scale Product Wish List
December 03, 2011, 06:33:18 AM
The years nearly over, what future large scale products would you like to see?

My Wish List:

Rolling Stock:

1:20.3 - logging disconnects - (I know other manufactures make these but if Bachmann could make a cheapish multi pack it would go down well)

1:20.3 Pulpwood Car - Bachmann already make these in ON30 and basically is a just a flat car with load.

Any other Logging/industrial related items. The log skidder was an awesome release!

Locomotives:

USATC S100 Class/SR USA Class 0-6-0T

Emily's Coaches were recently released by Bachmann so you can guess on which engine I would put my money on as being "next" !

As much as I love my heisler locomotive I would like a "new" locomotive .. not sure if I am the only one but I wont purchase a locomotive if I already have an older version.

I would love a spectrum USATC 0-6-0T (would have to be adjusted for 1.20:3 :/ ) .... Apart from that any new rolling stock would be awesome , the log skidder and Spectrum long caboose were awesome !

Just to confirm that the smoke stack will be black and not silver as shown in the catalog for 91197/91198 ? (looks better black IMO)

Have you thought about importing from the US ? I reckon youll have far better luck . I find it hard getting hold of the locomotive I wanted in the UK so pretty much all of my bachmann locomotives have ended up from the states (Climax,K-27,2-6-6-2,ForneyHeisler) .

Has anyone got a picture with all three versions side by side?

By all three I mean (spectrum 1.20.3, 1:255, 20' 1.20.3 version) ?

Even though you have a "New" 2-8-0 it was produced awhile ago so comes with a vhs, I have this vhs problem with the climax aswell!.. The more modern releases come with a DVD ... expect the forney which didnt come with either !

Murray,

I know of only one version which is the narrow guage 25 ton Class B Climax.

They came out in 2000 and are listed below:

81177   Climax   2   2000   ~ Loco   Climax Demo tapered stack
81178   LRL Co   2   2000   ~ Loco   Climax, 2 truck, Little River Logging Co.
81179   MML Co   4   2000   ~ Loco   Climax, 2 truck, Meadow Mt. Lumber
81180   P&CL Co   6   2000   ~ Loco   Climax, 2 truck, Pardee & Curtin
81181   None   None   2000 Climax, 2 truck, unlettered, tapered stack
81182   MCL Co   4   2000 Climax, 2 truck, Michigan, California
81183   NRL Co   4   2000 Climax, 2 truck, New River Lumber
81184   ETL Co   7   2000 Climax, 2 truck, Ely Thomas diamond stack
81185   None   None   2000 Climax, 2 truck, unlettered, diamond struck

The only major variations are the stacks.   The diamond stack really makes the loco look very different from the straight stack version

Ive only ever seen the straight stack pardee, michigan and unlettered versions .. any pics of the others? *have found answer to own question!*

As seen here...

That 0-6-0 SADDLE TANK SWITCHER shown on the main page would look pretty cool in 1.20.3!

Large / My forney arrived !!!

My Unlettered outside frame forney arrived from the US this morning . Its a lovely looking locomotive , Its much smaller than say the mallet its closer to the climax in size !

One thing I have noticed is there is no DVD included is this correct or is mine missing ?
