I am using NCE
the loco never moved on the main -  bachmann and other brand trains work fine on the main running three right now
Yes there was motor kick when on the program track

I will go over the CVs today and try to figure it out

Once CV8 is set to 8 on NCE you should be able to just put in 3 or 03 or 003 or 0003 am I correct in thinking this

FYI - I am using the NCE power cab - with USB computer control - and Decoder pro - this is the first loco I have ever had issues with the programming not working and I have many different kinds of locos and DCC controllers on the track, mainly NCE and Bachmann though

Set CV 8 to 8 and went back to 003 address and nothing

General Discussion / New 2-10-2 - DCC - not working
August 19, 2009, 09:41:40 PM
I just got a replacement loco from Bachmann
I put on the program track and it was recognized and took the programming I thought
However once I placed it on the main it does nothing  - I am not new to DCC
I am new to the DCC - steam loco though and the item did not come with any special instructions for setting it up
I have checked the wire connections and they are good
The train did do the small moves forward during programming I amused to seeing so
Any input would be nice

Thank You

Ok Bachmann service is going to repair my unit free of charge
They are also sending for 18.00 and change a replacement wheel set

I will let you know how the Loco is and how long it takes to get it back

thanks

Yes it has the 8 pin connector but all wires have been disconnected
I will try to wire it the way you describe here

I found a Life Like H0 scale loco
It looks like  GP series loco no real Identifiers as to what model
It is a great Northern shell
The bottom of the train simply says Life Like - made in china
The electronics are labeled - 440-X002/1998 07.03 - Has the 8 pin connector
The life like website says it is down and the company was purchased by Bachmann

Thank you for the diagram
I may attempt to repair them myself before ordering a new chasis assy.

no
this is a small
black plastic/rubber sleeve style bushing
I don't have a breakdown of the parts for this loco

I have switched all my Bachmann DCC Decoders to NCE DCC decoders
Smoother braking on inclines, Much Quieter and I like NCE
I had some issues with my Bachmann decoders running erratically thus the change.
And no more issues.

General Discussion / Loco Wheel Bushings

Hello All,
I have a new problem (already wrote to service about getting some new parts).
My Bachmann  H0 scale 2-8-0 DCC equipted Loco and tender has busted a bushing in two of the loco wheels and now will not run due to the alignment of the wheels.
Does anyone know if Bachmann sells the bushings?
And if not does anyone have a fix for this issue?

Thanks

Yes I have set up a failsafe for my switches now that only allows a .5 second pulse works perfect
