Hello Jeff,
there are two screws under the smoke unit.
Remove them and you can pull it out.

Hello Gion,
the srews are all metric. I don't remember the size. But you can just disassemble the other truck and take the same bolts as template to buy new ones.
By the way, just check all (!!!) srews in the drive area ! Loose screws are a common problem with this loco!

Hello Manny,
the wiring diagramm is available on the Bachmann site (Mogul).
May be you should also find some hints at George Shreyer's site (GIRR.org).
Have a look.
By the way, it should be a 2-6-0, not a 4-6-0...

Hello Tom,
I don't have experience with the TE Revolution...
but I can help you with the disassembly of that loco.
I made a description about installing a DCC decoder in the Mogul (similar to the American).
With all the necessary details of disassembly.
Give me a personal message with your E-mail, so I will send it to you.

Hello Manny,
do we really talk about an Annie ???
As per your description, there is a "board" inside the smoke box with numbered connectors... just mounted on a platform behind the smoke unit.
This is the case either in the Spectrum Mogul (2-6-0) or in the American (4-4-0).
This board has 4 Connectors (3-3-2-3) with numbers from 1 to 11.
AS far as I know, the Big Haulers like the annie don't have this....
Please check.

Large / Cab Interior Bachmann Connie
September 24, 2012, 09:52:07 PM
Hello together!
I have a question about the details of the cab interior of the Bachmann Connie.
I want to give it more details.
Inside on the engineer side is only the Johnson Bar and some valve stand for the brake.
There is nothing else to "drive" the loco.... as far as I can see no chance to regulate the steam...
Has anyone some some drawing / Photo from the operating equipment of a Connie?
Thanks

Hello Kevin,
you are right, the blind drivers have more space to the sides than the others.
Keeping the wheels on the rail head only works in this case, when you keep the pins.
Without the pins (which make problems in turnouts), the space will leed to the contrary result. The wheel will fall down on the inside of the curve!
Threfore, I made the space close to "0". This has no problem on LGB R3.

Hello Bob,
I have both the locos and run them on LGB R3.
They both run fine (the Mogul needed some modification).
The American (4-4-0) does not have any problem.
The Mogul has some small pins between the flangeless driver wheels which should guide this axle.
In the turnouts, these pins make problems. I removed them and installed a plate, fixed on the gear box, which just fits between the frame, so the axle cannot move to the side any more. I also eliminated the side movability on the two other axles.
Now my Mogul also runs fine over the turnouts.

Large / Heisler Details Question
July 28, 2012, 11:12:12 AM
Dear all,
I have a Bachmann Spectrum Heisler "Little River Logging No 5".
This one has no air tank and air pump.
As I know, Bachmann also made some Heislers with equipment like this...
Now I want to upgrade mine.
So I need some more information.
I would appreciate, if someone has some Photos from both sides, where I can see the air tanks, the compressor and the relevant piping.
I would also like to know the length and the diameter of the air tanks (in Millimeter).

Thanks a lot for your help!

Large / Tender Mogul / American
April 29, 2012, 12:57:39 PM
Hi all together!
I have one question regarding the tenders of the 4-4-0 and the 2-6-0.
In front of the tender, on the top on both sides are small hand wheels and a lever on each.
Can somebody tell me something about the purpose?
