On the OGR Forum today, an OGR sponsor dealer "Mario's Trains", has announced some sort of Williams by Bachmann "comeback." See this link:

We are all wondering what exciting products are a part of this.  Many are posting wish lists that seem to be commonly repeated requests.
I sure hope Williams is in fact "coming back" with more products!

I plan to buy a Tropicana 70 ton switcher. They are later than expected. Any updated estimates on availability?

October 03, 2017, 05:54:40 PM
I have 3 older Williams GG1' s with "horn" only and would like to upgrad these to correct GG1 horn.  Any suggestions?  Will the new Bachmann Williams GG1 sound be able to be added?

Jerry Williams created a lot of great trains and as written so eloquently above, had impacts on the hobby well beyond Williams itself.  I have been a loyal customer of Williams for many decades and all of these trains run flawlessly whether 20+ years old or the newest 4-6-2 I just bought this week.  Williams was first to offer the Amtrak Genesis.  I now own three different versions of these and the very first ones produced still run like day one and look brand new decades later.  Jerry Williams allowed all of us to enjoy collecting and operating with value, reliability, and most of all great fun.   Thanks Jerry Williams for bringing joy to so many people.

Bachmann,   here is the conversation about your Williams line on OGR Forum.  You need to listen!

How about some more road names.

Caltrains.  MARC.  Metra.  TRIRAIL.  Railrunner. Northstar.

Offer more, sell more.

Additionally, 44 ton switchers could be done in some modern schemes for popular steel companies.  Imagine a blue 44 tonner in Republic Steel modern colors!  Or the old Republic Steel with the pouring hot steel logo!  Grain companies use little switch locomotives like these.  If you sold a Cargill version, Pillsbury, Energy companies, NASA, Boeing, US AirForce, they WOULD SELL!

Please regroup and awaken your products. I really think you need to rethink your business plan.  Perhaps hire someone with some ideas.  Soon!

Williams by Bachmann / 2017 Williams

I eagerly opened the downloaded catalog and sifted through page after page of HO, N, On3, more structures, Large Scale, to finally reach the Williams section.  My hope of a Cities Sprinter Amtrak locomotive like the HO one quickly gone.  As well was my hope of a Caltrains Baby Bullet F59.  New paint schemes on the GP30.... nope!   F3 in something new like SP bloody nose... nope.   Bachmann, you really need to put a bit more fresh product in the offerings.  F59 is great!  But a couple more paint schemes would be smart.  Caltrains. MARC, TRIRAIL, Railrunner... you guys would sell out on Albuquerque Railrunner units.  Metra!  Bachmann...awaken energize..refresh!   I love your products and just yesterday bought a Southern 4-6-2 from Marios Trains.  But youre going to lose ground and market share if you do not kick this up a notch!  Seriously.  Rethink this lukewarm catalog of leftovers. Seriously!

Williams by Bachmann / 44 Ton Amtrak switcher
January 17, 2017, 04:17:45 PM
I am requesting that WBB produce an Amtrak version of the 44 Ton switcher.  Amtrak has had 45, 65, and 80 ton switchers over the years.  They all look pretty much the same as this 44 ton.  Either phase 1 2 stripe, phase 3 with 3 stripes, or modern logo blue and platinum.  Sell more of what you already have capability of making by adding more road names.  Many of us want more recent paint schemes vs only the historic versions offered

There is some activity on the OGR Forum regarding this product idea.  Anything brewing here?

Williams by Bachmann / F59PHI
January 17, 2017, 02:53:25 PM
I see a few places advertising Williams F59PHI locomotives  in three road names.  Is this product coming out?  I cant find this on the WBB website.   If it is true, I would want to buy one or two in Caltrain colors which pull their "baby bullet" trains.

F3 or FA in SP bloody nose scheme
F3 or FA in VIA Rail Canada
GP30's in CSX, Conrail, N&W, even Norfolk Southern although they really had high nose versions...I would still want a low nose NS GP30.
