Thanks Nathan, I will check out that part number. I purchase Buchmann metal wheels from St. Aubin when they run their specials and replace plastic wheels on Aristo Craft cars. But I am not sure if there are smaller than those I buy.

Ted, I will be driving over from Mississippi for the show on Thursday. Dalton is actually an hour shorter than Perry. See you there.

Dwands, it would be advisable to check how much the train has been ran. It it has been ran a lot, you need to grease the gears and lubricate the axles and side rods. The manual says that the engine is good for 24 hours between lubrications. This would save you some headaches and maybe a burned up engine.

General Discussion / Small large scale metal wheels
April 02, 2009, 10:08:04 PM
A friend of mine is helping me scratchbuild a couple of 1:29 piggyback and autorack cars. He said that he used small wheels that came on some Bachmann coal cars. They were smaller than normal wheels which would look normal since piggyback flats and autoracks used 28" wheels. Can anyone give me a part number in which I can order some.
Thanks,
Ron
