Davey:

What do you mean a "K27 with inside cylinders"?  Do you mean a regular non-D&RGW narrow gauge mikado like used on the East Broad Top?  A K-27, 28, 36, and 37 are very specific to the Rio Grande.  They all had outside frames.

Chuck

chuck,,,,   as previously mentioned i think a k27 with inward canted cylinders would be great for the next run of
the big mikado,,, as tooling is almost done,,,

i dont think so many people would buy the early versions but it may be worth doing a limited run for collectors

but another early bogie coach that looks different to accucrafts jackson sharp would be most welcome

slightly shorter, with duckbill roof and round windows,,,,

i would like to see the k27 with inside cylinders,,,  it would be different enough to justify a purchase

and tooling is mostly done,,

c19 early versions,,,,  again tooling mostly done

also the box cars which the colorado and southern, RGS and white pass used

that would satisfy people who model one of three lines

but a coach which is different from the jackson sharp offering by accucraft would be great

ie duckbill roof, round window tops etc

yep  put me down for an initial rake of 5,,,,

combines rpo and whatever else

i think most people who have connies  would buy a few

a decent semi prototypical range of coaches would have sold way more than the new caboose

its just baffling

the way i look at is bachmann could go 3 ways

dont bother and miss out,,,,,,,,

make a prototypical example,,,,,,,latest  caboose proves you can do it,,

or make up a generic model of the correct scale, with various style sides and window types and roofs fully interchangeable,,,,,,, like the accucraft sides

maby even in kit form, with decent seats and bogies,,, many people love kitbashing and creating something individual

i realise the big seller ie drgw accucraft js has taken a lot of the market  but surely there is something out there which can be made

surely there is enough opinions on here to find away forward,,

ho hum

i totally agree!!!!

with all the lessons learned with the k27 taken on board and addressed,  surely this would be a complete winner,,,, gearbox , lights, counterweights, trucks etc,,,

and put me down for 2,,,

oh and make some coaches to go with it,,,surely with some modification they could cover a few operators livery's,,,you would sell a shed load,,, even a 1:20 jackson sharp kit would be progress,,,,

you can do it,, the long caboose proves you can hit the standard most people want,,,

all by Christmas please,,,

on a  more serious note,,,  why not make the k28 gearbox the same as the k27 but with the more favoured ratio,,,  and make them available so that k27 owners can swap them over

and can any one tell me why the k27 smoke box is gunmetal rather than silver

cheers ,, Davey b
