N / Re: 45-tonner in N scale?

I dont see the side rods being a problem, the weight maybe. If it could only manage a few cars so be it! Switching duty it is. I would certainly buy several. How cool would that be!

Anyone know what this loco will pull on a 4%(i think,it might be more) grade? Thanks in advance! I have a "terrain for trains" layout that i would like to run one on, The loco would be pulling 4-5 shortie overtons and the model power 4-4-0 wont do it.

N / B Climax in n scale
February 26, 2013, 01:33:44 PM
Would love to see Bachmann make this loco a reality in N scale. I have built one,  (see 2008 n scale addendum) other talented folks have scratch built them. I think these and other geared steam (heisler for example) would steal the show in N scale. I feel they would sell great. I have no desire to build another, and I kick myself for selling the one I built. That B climax sold for just under 400.00 bucks....... are you hearing me? I am not the only one that feels this way. Every one loves your HO and larger offerings, N scale is becoming more popular every year. Steal the show Bachmann! If we can stir up some interest and some replies and comments, would Bachmann take notice? We could try. ;) If you search 45 ton climax on u tube, you can see my dcc climax. It can be done....
