Large / Offset Shank Couplers
January 13, 2014, 02:10:29 PM
Bachmann offers offset shank couplers in their spectrum line. I can find no description of what they are used for. Can you provide a brief description?

Thank You

Charley

Thanks Sleeping Bear, my arthritis hinders my typing so I try to simplify.

There are some great "shells" or superstructures that use a Bachmann Gas Mechanical under frame or "platform" available, but the investment in the Bachmann Gas Mechanical is more than I can afford at the moment. Is there any chance Bachmann used the same dies for the Lil' Big Hauler that I might be able to bash it for use with one of those "shells?"

On30 / On30 C&S "set" and spectrum differences
February 08, 2013, 07:47:26 PM
In G scale the Spectrum designation means two things. One, the 1:20.3 scale makes it easy to identify a Spectrum product.

Not so much in On30. I have a C&S On30 set from five or six years ago. It is not labeled Spectrum. I also have two coaches in On30 in boxes labeled Spectrum. What are the differences between the two sets of coaches and also is there a Spectrum Mogul that matches the Mogul in the set and what would its differences be?

Thanks in advance
