Another way of keeping the track to the correct curve is using the sweepsticks sold by Fast Tracks!

Happy railroading!

...the plaster tends to disintegrate and crumble.

Well that would be good for ruins I guess!?!?  ;D

Thanks Bill and all!

There has been a lot of discussion on here about that very issue!

I hope Bachmann doesn't bury their head in the sand and pretend a problem doesn't exist, as this is how many a great company have failed in the past.

You would think they would do some sort of press release stating that they are aware of the issue and are trying to fix it. However, the above statement could only be made if they had "ANY" intention of dealing with the "KNOWN" problem.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of failures they are having.

Kind of reminds me of Ford and their exploding Pinto's. They hired statisticians to figure out if it was going to be more costly to recall and fix the problem or just to pay out on the claims when they happen!

Time will tell but word of mouth can be very dangerous to a niche style company.

Let's hope they will give us news soon!

Silence is not golden but rather the kiss of economic death!

Thanks all! It's great to get "seasoned" info from those who have experienced it!

On30 / Glue/Glues to use?
December 30, 2009, 02:01:54 PM
Hi All,

What glues do you like the best for the following;

A: Wood - I'm assuming Elmers wood glue here!
B: Resin kits
C: Plastic injection molded kits
D: Hydrocal kits

If you use CA, do you use the accelerator? Do you use fast set, slow set or regular?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Could someone tell me the measurement, in inches, of the wheelbase of this MoW car?

Thanks,

Wow... quite a difference in size!

How does the 4-4-0 OF stack up to the 2-8-0 loco?

Thanks Harold!

QuoteThere is a significant size difference between the IF 4-4-0 and the OF 4-4-0.

Does anyone have a side by side comparison photo of the IF & OF models?

I would like to see the differences.

Thanks,

Bruce

Thanks guys!

So, for building a 2'x4' micro layout, I should strengthen  the bottom with some sort of wood bracing.

Thanks,

Bruce
