HO / Worn Down Gear
July 08, 2010, 02:59:23 PM
I posted this on the general discussion too.
I have an old AHM/Rivarosi 4-4-0, "Genoa" and the idler gear has worn down, and the locomotive will not move... Is this a part that can be bought and easily replaced? Or is there no way of getting it fixed. It does not feel like it is able to be removed. also, the plate that the screw goes into, in-between the wheels, looks like it has slipped down, maybe? It doesn't seem to want to come out, but there is nothing else to screw into.

Any help would be appreciated.

General Discussion / Problem with HO jupiter
March 17, 2010, 05:05:52 PM
I found one of the older HO jupiter locomotives, the red and silver one, for a good price and bought it. it was new in the box. The motor is in the tender, and when i just place the tender on the tracks, the wheels work fine, but when i actually put the wheels on the track it stops, the headlight still stays on. this is the one i got http://www.ho-scaletrains.net/bachmannhoscalelocomotives/id43.html
any information would be appreciated
Thanks

I have a question about bachmann's Baldwin 2-8-0 DCC Southern 724 Blk/Wht/Red. this is a DCC locomotive, i know DCC can run on DC track, but can it be controlled by a basic DC controller?
