Large / Idea for a new shay
September 18, 2017, 08:30:28 PM
to the Bachmann  How about producing a G Scale model of the Western Maryland #6 three truck shay. I would give you a deposit on the spot if you were to do so.   Jeff Langmack

Large / To the Bach.Man Peter Witt Street Car

Just Received my 91702 LA Railway St.Car. Very impressed. Love the all metal gearbox with brass gears. Just got done giving it it's first service. It probably will run forever. However am a little distressed by the lack of info info about the product and the notice about the pcb needing to be replaced. Is there a plug-in sound system available and what sounds does it make? I own just about all of your G scale 1.20 Spectrum locos all purchaced new. Did the two truck thing with my shay, perfect. You guys are the bomb. Keep up the good work. Thanks Jeff Langmack

Large / Three bay hoppers
September 23, 2016, 04:03:34 PM
To the group,  I was online looking for Peabody 3 bay hoppers. Found two that were complete and one that needed the coal load and metal wheels. Metal wheels, no problem. I checked the parts list online (Bachmann) nada. Shure would like to complete this car with a coal load, any idea's. Thanks Jeff

Bill Thanks much. Are there any operational short cummings that I should know about? I know that the Heisler has been discontinued for quite some time and the parts availability is short. I did a complete service on it before running it I find it (the Heisler) to be a nice runner. Again Thanks Jeff

Large / Gear drive loco's

To the forum, The opportunity came my way to round out the big three gear drive loco's. I finally got the Heisler. What a hot rod compared to the other two. It is very nice to look at and it runs great. I can't seem to find much background a to when Bachmann actually made this loco and how many road names did they build? Thanks for your time. Large / Re: LS Animated Stock Car

I'm not very good at these computers so I will try and describe the car for you. It is the same car as the C&S cattle car except that the body is black with the Flying Rio Grande logo is white along the top rib, there are four square holes big enough for a G Gauge horses head to stick out ( two on each side) the heads are mounted on a balanced beam wich allows the heads to move in and out of the side of the car as it in motion. The mechanisim is the same as the postwar lionel car except in G Scale. Hope this helps. Geoff

Large / LS Animated Stock Car

To the Forum Just got the stock car with horses, pretty cool. Just like the Lionel post war car from the late 50's only bigger. Same size as my C&S car only D&RG markings and a black body with archbar trucks and metal wheels. Jeff

Large / Decals
October 24, 2015, 08:19:45 PM
To the forum, Are any sources for G Scale decals? Would like to find period decals in G Scale from the early 1900's to the middle 40's  Railroad/lumber/mining. Thanks Jeff

The two screws were the key to the whole thing. Undo them and gently pull the whole unit out. The smoke unit itself is held inplace in the heatsink by two tungsten wires one on each side. All I did was to undo the two wires and take out the bad unit and reverse install the new unit. I works great. Thanks Jeff

My shay 81198, smoke unit no longer working. Is the smoke unit and holder removable from the front? I found two screws at the bottom of the unit after removing the boiler front. Am I on the right track? Need help! Thanks Jeff.

Large / 2-4-2 Baldwin Tank loco
July 04, 2015, 03:27:50 PM
To the forum, After a long time pondering I gave in and bought Bachmann's 2-4-2 Tanker. I have a couple of questions about this loco. What is the appliance on the top of the left hand tank and second I can't find a actual picture of this loco or any info regarding this engine.  Thanks Jeff

Large / three truck shay
June 06, 2015, 06:35:03 PM
To the forum, I have just received my new Bachmann three truck shay and am amazed at how large it is. It appears to be almost as big as my K27 also by Bachmann. Are these locomotives really the same 1.20 scale or are there certain liberties taken. I leave this for discussion. Thanks Jeff Langmack
