Greg, I have ordered from GLX before.  Pricing for a pair of shades is kind of expensive.  $24 a pair is too much even for a 3D printed item.  I'll go the route of getting the USA shades and modify my unit.  Did the same with an older Aristo Dash9, SD45 and GP40.

Heard back.  Window shades are not available and probably won't be in the future as they will probably only be available with the shells.  Which doesn't make a lot of sense to me as they come packaged seperately and not assembled.  I'll have to either spend $24 a set with GLX or buy the USA Trains version and cut a slot above the window of the Dash 9 and glue that in.
These things break all the time and you would think Bachmann would bring a ton of these in for replacements.  Oh well...

Thanks, I've sent the service dept an email to see if they have any sets of window shades available in the UP and BNSF colors.

Yes I know those are available through the dealers.  Need other parts for my new and older Aristo units.  Thanks.

Any idea when cusomters will be able to order parts for the new Dash 9?  When will you have shipments arriving stateside?

Need to order sun shades for the windows as I've broken one already.  :-[

That's the reason why I did pony up for the Blunami.  Can run off battery, DC or DCC with the App.  The hook up was straight forward and you have a lot of sound and control capablities.  I'm sold on the Blunami now.  Will look at converting other locs in the future.

Thanks Fred,  reviewed Trackside Details.  They had everything else but.  I'll continue to check around to see if I can find any.  Thanks for the suggestions.

Large / Large Scale Forney Headlight?
May 05, 2023, 12:34:15 PM
Anyone out there have an extra headlight for the largescale forney?  I'm in need of replacing mine and there are no parts available for the forney any longer in the parts page of this website.

Thanks,

Large / New Bachmann Dash 9s
January 20, 2023, 02:28:47 PM
Hi,

I'm glad the forums are back up.  It's been quite a while.

Can you update us on the status of the Dash 9s?  Are they on the water?  Expected to arrive, when?
Will the new 53' Evans Box Cars be on the same boat?

I posted a video of the new End of Car Device to my YouTube channel.  It works great.  Thanks for those.  One thing I did was remove one of the track pick ups on each wheel to lessen the drag on the unit.  Rolls easier now.

Thanks Ted, I was afraid of that.  I'll have to upgrade to an Aristo, USA or MTH smoker.

Guys, Was there any upgrade made to the smoke unit or is it the same die cast clamshell unit that all the previous steam engines have come with?

Yes, will have to get a couple on order right away.  Glad Bachmann is producing these.  Hopefully will have motor blocks coming as folks I'm sure will snap them up to revive older used equipment.

Would love to see Bachmann get the GP40s resurrected and produced sometime soon.

Thanks.

Mr. Bach-man,

Any feedback to my question?  Really would like to know if the list of features is incorrect on these locos or if there is something special that needs to be done to activate the ash pan glow in the new 2-6-0 and the last runs of the 4-4-0s.

Thanks,

Paul Torrey

Large / Question for the Bach-man on the New 2-6-0 Mogul
December 04, 2016, 06:33:46 AM
Hi, I've recently purchased the new Spectrum Eureka and Palisade Mogul to go with my older American Eureka and Palisade.  The Mogul like the American both advertise an Ashpan flicker.  Neither of these locomotives have that Ashpan flicker.  The firebox does flicker when the door is open but the ashpan has no lighting effects whatsoever.

I have all the other logging locos and a Forney and they all do have the ashpan flicker.

Are these new Moguls supposed to have LED lights in the ashpan to give a flicker effect?  If so, how do you activiate it?

Thanks,

Paul Torrey
