First,  Make sure that the track is "Live"  by running other locomotives on it.  If other trains run fine on the track, make sure the wheels are not dirty, make sure the track is not dirty, and make sure that there is nothing on the track (metal of any kind,  wire, string, etc).   And finally,  make sure that the wheels aren't clogged up with carpet fluff or anything like that.

Unfortunately,  this is the kind of thing that happens to lower budget models. Send the loco into Bachmann along with $15.00,  and they will replace it. I should warn you. It takes some time for them to return it to you.

It should work, but be aware that you will have to do something to join the E-Z track section of the turntable with the Hornby track.  But it shoudn't be too hard

Thomas & Friends / Re: Steam vs Diesel Thread
July 27, 2011, 07:06:45 PM
Truthfully,  I don't like the fact that they are making a movie about Steam engines vs. Diesel engines.  I would pick neither because both Steam engines and Diesels have great qualities.  Plus,  I like the fact that Diesel 10 is evil,  but shouldn't reflect on the other diesel characters.

It should be able to fit 2 coaches cosidering that most engines (especially large engines) over-run the platform untill the end of the tender is just under the canopy. However,  more kits can be added onto it to make the station longer.

Well its not US based but EHATTONS.COM accepts US $$$ and they ship orders to the US also. The prices are fairly cheap and they have a good selection.

The only thing i really hope Bachmann gets right is the wheels on the inside and the side rods on the outside like the real TV series model.

Yeah! BoCo. Thats cool. As well as taking your time while making it,  i might suggest skiming through all of the BoCo models by every company to see which has the best suitable face for the size of the model. In my opinion, the face and the paintjob are the hardest parts to make on a Custom Thomas model. Hope this helps

My favorite episode would either be Henry's forest or Ghost train. Top 5 characters would be in no particular order ...Edward, Oliver, Diesel, Trevor,  and Peter Sam

General Discussion / Re: Civil War trains

Hey dude. You are in luck! Bachmann JUST announced 2 civil war train sets. Union and Confederate. They did this to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the start of the civil war. Bachmann must have been listening to you. lol      If you don't believe me,   check the main page toy fair announcements

Cool dude. If you are planning for all of those destinations to be on one layout,   you will need a pretty big layout. Probably around 5x10'. If you wish to see how i made my red branch line coaches, go onto my youtube channel. My account is Bluecoatscheesypoofs. Good luck dude.

Me Three. What good is Diesel without duck? BUT...Not all hope is lost yet. The toy fair ends the 16th and Bachmann might pull something out of the hat.  ;)

Ya dude... I Agree with sodoradventures. Bachmann has the prices on the rolling stock for a reason! If you don't like the prices of the rolling stock on the website,  then go to a discount hobby site.   >:(
