There is also a screw directly beneath the steamchest; if you remove this screw, the whole power unit will be able to pivot freely.

MRPP, I bought my Soundtraxx DCC decoders from Bachmann Parts Dept:

http://estore.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66_698&products_id=10473

I've purchased these decoders for my 3 Climax locos, my 2 Forneys and my 3 K-27s.

They drop right in.

I hope this info is of value.

D&GRW 168 is a T-12. If you stretched the Annie's frame and boiler behind the steam dome, it would be very convincing.
4  Discussion Boards / Large / Re: What happened to cause the downturn of the large scale market sales? on: November 18, 2017, 10:56:10 PM
Some members claim it's due to the current "glut" of large scale products on eBay.
I personally prefer to buy my stuff new.
I noticed the downturn when LGB went into receivership.
It would seem that wherever LGB goes, the market follows.
LGB is now making new models and those models are much closer to scale, in limited production runs and very, VERY expensive.

Bachmann should start producing large scale European models to augment its current product line.

Imagine: a Zillertalbahn U-Series 0-6-2 made by Bachmann- LGB would be quaking in its boots. lol

I use Bachmann's Conductive Lubricant on the rails. The rails wipe clean with just a paper towel after each run.
I pull 12-15 cars -all with metal wheels- behind my SPC 4-4-0.
Just a helpful hint: if you use too much Conductive Lubricant on the rails, the DCC system will  shut down....a little goes a long way.

I haven't been able to get any response from QSI Solutions.

JV,

I found a website that has a side elevation of #11.
They also have all the info you would need to modify the pilot truck and pilot deck
for a prototypical look.

Hope this helps,

Tanker,
Go to GouldStudios.com
They have the drawing for the original D&RG Jackson and Sharp bobber cobooses delivered in 1871.
They also have the drawing for the D&SP bobber caboose that Accucraft modeled.
Let's see.....they also have drawings for boxcars, reefers....a C-16......a Mason Bogie etc.

The drawings are pricey but they are the absolute best reference source.

I still want a C-16 in a "as delivered" 1881 Baldwin/Brooks version.
But hey, I've only been posting this for the past 12 years.
10  Discussion Boards / Large / Re: Spectrum Passenger Cars on: October 07, 2012, 02:51:43 AM
If Bachmann manufactured Carters Brothers coaches in 1:20.3 scale, they wouldn't be competing with AMS.
Carters Brothers coaches would be a more accurate choice for pulling behind the Centennial 4-4-0 and 2-6-0.
No manufacturer currently produces Carters Brothers coaches.
11  Discussion Boards / Large / Re: It's a C-19 on: August 03, 2012, 09:09:47 PM
Now this is a locomotive I will buy in multiples. I've been nagging Bach-man for a C-16 for years...but this C-19 is close enough.
Thanks,
Robert

I run all my 4-4-0s and 2-6-0s on  minium 4' RAD. (8' DIA.) curves.
This is the smallest curve RAD./DIA. for best operation.
Especially when double-heading locomotives that are coupled with link and pin.

I still want a Spectrum C-16 in 1:20.3. An early woodburner for the D&RG would do nicely

I am still pushing for a C-16 in early D&RG livery.
The other manufacturer just can't come close to Spectrum detail.

I believe the new Annies have new cab numbers.
