DCC Ready means that it needs a decoder and that the plug is already installed, just "ready" and waiting for you to install the decoder.  It's still DC until the decoder is in there.

I have 4 Bachmann DCC diesels that seem to want to skid to a stop coming down a 2% grade.  I thought I read somewhere that someone changed a CV to slow down something that causes this.  They run fine on level track, just coming "down the mountain" they seem to skid and it's not a fast speed, either.  Does anyone know which CV?

Got the F7 A today and switched the shell with the FA A.  Perfect fit for both shells interchanged with the other chassis.

Do a search here, on the forum for "change address".

Call the Bachmann parts dept.  They have shells.

I have an NYC FT A DCC engine with a shell that I want to put on an F7 A engine that has DCC & Sound.  Then I'd put the F7 A shell on the DCC engine.
By the way, my FT A engine does have the 4 screws around the fuel tank, not 2 and no tabs.  It was a bear getting those screws out!

Do these engines run on normal DCC (Digitrax Zephyr) or do they run by the app only ?  They do have sound, right?

Yeah, me too. I never liked phillips head for this reason.  When they are put on too tight it's a potential mess.  So here I am!
