So there are no screws on the bottom because the speaker is there.  Even in the exploded diagram.
I'll the tooth pick trick.
Thanks Len and Rich

HO / Remove GP 7 Shell
August 15, 2020, 11:35:10 AM
I have a GP 7 with DCC sound and want to remove the shell.  Previous shells needed the couplers removed so I did that.  I don't see any body mounting screws, even by the speaker.  It won't budge so what am I missing?
Thanks

HO / Remove Truck Covers
August 09, 2020, 05:19:55 PM
I have a Bachmann RS 3 DCC and want to remove the truck covers to lube the gears.  Do these pry off like they do in the OLD (2010) you tube video?  That engine appears different like just a DC one.  Is there a different way?  The tabs don't seem to be there.
Thanks

HO / Re: Green B&M Doodlebug

Thanks, Bear.  I just wanted to know if the green was stock, also because the box is B&M. too.  So, I guess someone went to a lot of work to custom an undecorated  green one and then put it in a B&M box.  Case closed. Thanks for your help!

Dear Plint,
As I recall, the B&M stock model was maroon.
Have fun!

Yes, and I never got an answer.  The post became a "how to" on putting up pics.  I was able to upload a pic in that post.  I was hoping for some new info about the green by Bachmann.

Is this a stock item or was it a lettered Green undecorated one?
I have one with # 81409 on the box, marked Boston & Maine.

On the parts website(Bachmann), it states that they were discontinued in 2013.  They have some parts but not all. I don't know about their DCC production but
I did buy one this year and my LHS installed a DCC chip for me.  It runs nicer now and a bit quieter.

I did a search and found out a little information.  All of B&M's passenger equipment, including gas cars were painted Pullman green up until 1940.  Bachmann's car were red, Walther's  car was green, and it was shorter than Bachmann's

Wow.....good to know...thanks, Ram

:D

Wait until you try DCC.

That's the next step, getting the chip inside but first I gotta get the shell off. Oh boy, watch out!

I got explicit instructions from Terry on another Bachmann forum post I started, step by step, inch by inch.  All I know is it worked.  Not as easy as other forums.  Thanks, Len for your help and patience.
