HO / Streamlined Hudson question
September 03, 2023, 09:37:46 AM
Mr. Bachmann, do you know which paint scheme(s) of the streamlined hudson you will be releasing? The image you are using seems to show a partially shrouded engine with a black tender and a single thin white stripe near the top, and not the iconic j3a that was used on the majority of 20th century limited trains.

I count 4 paint schemes that were used on the j3's.

* The 1938 version with blue stripes (AKA the best one ;D)
* The 1940's version with silver stripes
* Two-tone black and white "Empire State Express"
* Black whith single thin white stripe near the top of the tender (what I think is in the image you are using, but was possibly only done for #5344 J3e... not sure on the last bit)

Most of my info is from https://nycshs.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/pages-from-1981q3.pdf but there's a good photo of #5344 at https://www.trains.com/ctr/railroads/locomotives/new-york-central-4-6-4-hudson-no-5344-in-four-photos/

Also, do you have any plans to release NYC passenger cars in the future, either heavyweight or lightweight?

Thomas & Friends / N scale specs
June 02, 2020, 11:05:00 PM
Mr. Bachmann, do you know if the N scale Thomas is DCC friendly, and what the minimum radius is for it? At a slower speed, could Thomas and some cars handle 117mm radius unitrack track?

N / New run of smooth side passenger cars?

Are there plans for a new run of them? I need more N&W passenger cars with different numbers! And maybe a diner, too?

HO / Question about The New (2016) PCC Trolley
July 08, 2016, 09:26:45 PM
Mr. Bachmann, I just saw that there's a re-tooled PCC trolley announced at the NMRA. Sweet!

Can you tell me if the interior and drive train is the same as the previous model?

Thanks

HO / DCC Turnouts and DC power
June 15, 2016, 01:14:28 AM
I have a DC test track. What happens if I connect a Bachmann DCC turnout to a DC powered track? Will I fry the internal decoder, or will it simply not respond until I connect it back to a DCC powered layout?

HO / USRA 0-6-0 with smoke and DCC
November 08, 2015, 11:39:25 PM
I was wondering if anyone (calling the Bach man) knows if the DCC equipped USRA 0-6-0 uses the same internal split frame design as the older 0-6-0's, or if they were redesigned to accommodate the decoder and extra wiring.

And if they were, would it be possible to post the exploded parts diagram for it?
