Speaking of parts.  How about a slightly longer tender for the old time 4-4-0, and offer Chinese SY The Richmond 4-4-0 in N-Scale.

8  Discussion Boards / N / SY and QJ Class locomotives... on: November 10, 2011, 04:22:37 PM
Some years ago Bachmann produced a Chinese 2-8-2 SY Class and a Chinese 2-10-2QJ Class locomotives in ho-scale. Is there any reason why we're not seeing these two steam locomotives in the Spectrum Series?

Between my childhood and my teenage years, I remember seeing a few of EL's SD45's,SDP45's  etc roaming around Jamestown,NY being that my late mother was from Jamestown,NY..

11  Discussion Boards / N / Re: On what prototype is the AAR 40' box car based? on: July 20, 2011, 04:08:56 PM
There are many versions of AAR 40' steel box cars. What prototype version matches the upcoming Bachmann model? Opinions are welcome of course, but I'd like a definitive answer from Bachmann itself. I am curious.  Thanks.

My thought would be a b & o or READING 1937 AAR series boxcar being that Bachmann is in Philadelphia, PA..

Being that I model 1855-1940 I would like to see the RICHMOND 4-4-0, a straight boilered 4-6-0 and of course the Russian Decapod 2-10-0 almost forgot about cnw rr 's the Pioneer and its kin 4-2-0 types.. all DCC or at least DCC ready!

B-mann sells an A-B set of F-7s.  They are good pullers.  Buy the SPECTRUM version.  If you see the older PLUS versions, I would avoid them.  The SPECTRUMS would be allright for your purposes.  The street prices of these things are not too bad.

I agree with Brokemoto about the Spectrum locomotives.
14  Discussion Boards / N / The Russian Decapod 2-10-0 on: April 02, 2011, 10:25:37 PM
While looking at wig wag trains website in their Bachmann section they still list the 2-10-0" Russian Decapod" as Coming Soon (?)!
Taking Reservations now:
Here's my question is are we ever going to see it?

In case this was missed.  If Bachmann has the ability to produce these in the larger scales such as G,O and On30, why can't they produce them in the smaller Scales N and ho?

4-2-0 -not the C.P. Huntington " The European version"
0-6-0T
2-8-2T
0-4-4 and 2-4-4 Forney
2-4-2  The Columbia

**and The Chinese SY 2-8-2 and the QJ 2-10-2
These I would like to see in N-SCALE**

How about offering some of these painted unlettered and DCC ready, this also includes the 4-4-0 as painted  unlettered.
