What brand DCC controller?

No. The chasis for the FT-A is wider then the other 2. The GP30 is a split frame and had a triangle shape at the end. The GP7/9 frame is atraight across at the end.    Joe

This is for a TCS hard wired decoder. It will work with any 8 wire decoder. https://drupal.tcsdcc.com/installation/ho-scale/1215                 Joe

HO / Re: HO Scale SD-45 Pick up wires

On my Bachmann diesels, the wires are stranded. I noticed they broke easily from the trucks when I added sound decoders.   Joe

I say no. The I/O port is for the discontinued walk around companion. The 44212 is a DC controller. Don't mix DC and DCC.

Unsolder the 2 wires from the speaker on the decoder. Tape them up. No more sound.

HO / Re: Sound value FA-1 settings?
May 26, 2020, 07:38:02 PM
On the different sound volumes, try a value of 60. If this is too low, add 10 and try again. Keep doing this until you have the level you like. I do the 6' test: stand about 6' away from loco, sound should be barely heard.    Joe

The sound value decoders do not have reverb or the equalizer. list of CVs default values: https://soundtraxx.com/content/Reference/Factory-Installed/Bachmann/SoundValue/ho_fa2_sv.pdf
Some call them a cut down version of the Tsunami. They are not. They are made by Soundtraxx to Bachmanns specs.
