Thomas & Friends / Re: The Everything Thomas Topic

So the gunpowder van is the tale end of the large huge narrow gauge back log . It's crazy that this backlog is over . I hope development continues on the new products.
DCC Thomas and Percy may be released by the end of the year. Maybe along side the gonolas.
I think the reason the large scale DCC set is taking so long is because Bachmann wants to produce the decorders all at once so it's waiting for the HO scale DCC Thomas and Percy to be ready.

So it seems like
Sir Handel could be fall 2025
DCC items , NG gondolas, and 80th vans winter 2025
And then like knapford , salty ,n scale express coaches , and the gunpowder vans in spring 2026
Maybe we could see both  LBSC Thomas and the N scale black James for a summer release alongside the China clay wagon and the CGI tankers which we know are somewhere in the design process.

It seems progress has started up to rise up again . I sorta am lowballing these so I would to see some of these products come sooner then that but I really don't know.

The more I think about the more I feel Nia will be added to the range as Matt mentioned the phrase main character in a Thomas Tuesday stream . Also I don't know if they will do the works unit coach next year as it seems they have a lot on there plate currently .
I also think a large scale new tool engine could happen with that being either Duck or Rosie rather than black James .

Updated predictions
Catalog

HO scale Circus cattle van
HO scale Mccoll  cattle van
HO scale brakevan
N scale Gordon express set

NMRA

HO scale Nia
HO scale Rebuilt S.C. Ruffy
HO scale Pink 7 plank wagon
HO scale Windmill
G scale Duck
Narrow gauge Duncan

I really like how small I made this rather then a big announcement . It has a set that is guaranteed for profit , 2 cattle wagons which is something the range is lacking , the brakevan which was made only for its set to be cancelled , etc .
If I were to add something it would be Emily with her 12 but that is about it .
I subbed out n scale Edward for Duncan as I felt it was about time and also the fact that N scale would likely still have a back log .

So G scale has some hope for a new engine as I looked at the catalog recently and I noticed that LBSC Thomas is 91411 compared to Paxton who has the product number 91408 . Could this mean anything for G scale . The gap between has the potential to be filled.
Anyway the DCC set has still yet to release .

Appearlty there is a surprise coming for the factory . I have no clue what this could be I'd imagine it's some new product tool . So maybe the express coaches or the gunpowder wagons .

I don't think knapford will be out before the end of the year . If anything I'd say early 2026 .

No updates on any of the other N scale products aside from the express coaches. I feel we will see them along side the open wagons and the LBSC Thomas and black James release in 2026

I hope we see Paxton and Diesel but that's hopeful thinking at this point they are super behind with n scale .
Henry we would be lucky see by 2027 .
Rather then Edward for 2026 what about Sidney . To have a new character but also not getting to ahead by having yet another class 08 .

G scale really only needs that set which I am pretty sure will either be out in the fall or if not I am sure that this time they are going to release it as the same time as DCC Thomas and Percy which have in been announced for FIVE YEARS WHERE ARE THEY. So is the G scale line dead what do you guys think? Will we ever get anything new tooled in it . Or do you think we're just gonna be seen repaints .Is black James the only chance we have a new engine . Paxton is number 49108 while LBSC Thomas is number 49111 which leaves three open slots . So who knows

The narrow gauge items yet to release and knapford station are going to be the next items to release which are going to be out hopefully by Christmas.
Sir Handel seems to be like a fall 2025 release .
No mention of the 80th vans I'd assume Matt just forgotten those when mentioning the new stuff as we have painted samples . And the large scale DCC set which may be out but I am not sure .

If I were to guess .
We will see Sir Handel and the DCC set in the fall .
And right before Christmas in late November we will see the 80th vans, ng gonaldas , and maybe knapford but I could see that be more of a early 2026 item .

Scottsman will have 6 wheels confirmed.
His couplings will either be a drawbar or hook and loop for the water tender .
Both tender and the engine will be a new tool .

It's confirmed Scottsman will have both tenders that are both new tools . Overall really hyped to this happen I can't belive he is happening can't wait till we see a prototype.

It seems they will be 6 wheels .which is shame but I can't imagine them making a similar tender to Spencer as a complete new tool .

Since everyone has been giving their suggestions or predictions for 2026, here are mine .
For engines I doubt a large engine will be announced since Scottsman just got announced. However I think Nia Whiff or Havery could have a stronger chance of happening .
There are serval underused rolling stock toolings imo in the line that could be expanded upon . These being the 4 plank wagon , the mail vans , the cattle vans. As for some new tools I think we need to see some new rolling stock maybe the works unit coach could go well with havery if they announced him. Rebuilt Scuffy is another idea that I really like . The pink 7 plank wagon is seen all across the CGI era  and would be a good idea as well.  The cream tanker would be nice to see return along with the well wagon .

As for accessories Trevor has been suggested a lot and I would love to see him in the line up . Another suggestion would be the windmill which is a classic location that Bachmann could bring back.

Narrowing it down
Havery
Works unit coach blue
Works unit coach green
Works unit coach orange
circus cattle van
mccoll cattle van
M truck
Pink 7 plank wagon
Rebuilt scruffy
Windmill

Quote from: JLK2707 on August 01, 2025, 05:19:44 AMCould Troublesome Truck 8 be a TAR Tanker Wagon, while Troublesome Truck 9 is just a Season 1 Troublesome Truck? Could it be possible for Troublesome Trucks 1 and 2 to get new faces?

For truck 8 I would like to see a new tanker  . That appeared in season 4 as well as JBS onwards.  They could also reuse the face they do for that. For a narrow gauge troublesome slate wagon

To be honest years ago, I would think that Bachman was eventually gonna make one of their troublesome truck numbers be a season one truck, but that day never came . I would love to see a season one truck however would it happen ?
They could also do the international trucks
Lei the red Chinese van
Cyan African salt van
Troublesome coffee truck

On the topic of tankers the cream tanker is a product I am shocked they did not rerelease yet with the correct coloring this time . I assume the wrong coloring was why they  retired it. But I would love to see them, make the cream tanker with the weathered chassis.

Quote from: Zorran202 on July 27, 2025, 12:52:49 PMI find it ironic that even the Flying Scotsman Tenders that did show up in Season 3 had the correct lining on it, but not the CGI render. I'd imagine that if they do correct the lining on the tenders, then overall it'll be a perfect model of the T&F Flying Scotsman.

Also his model tenders had the correct wheel configuration on the tenders, I still don't know why they didn't just give the tenders 4 wheels in cgi...

To be honest, yeah . I wonder if they would also change that to have Spencer's tender, be reused .
I'm sure they could get away with this as sir Handel had extra detailing so modifying Scotsman wouldn't be too far off .

Flying Scottsman
Bachmann is truely the best .
I was not expecting this guy at all.
Tbh I could see this guy coming sooner rather then later as we have Stanley out and Sidney and the mainland diesel are repaints .
He is an Awdry character which is good to see .

I wonder if Gordon or Spencer's parts will be reused for him .
The tender for Spencer could be reused with a 6 wheels instead of 8 .

Knapford is cool as well . Glad they brought it back with updated details. I understand why it's only one canopy this time . But overall great to see it back .

These 2 products are super cool and I can't wait to see them released

Stanley is out !!!

This is so good to see .

I can't wait to see people getting this model .

The NMRA 2025 is this weekend and we will be getting the new HO announcements on Saturday
#30
Who is it gonna be .
I have a feeling it could be havery but what about
Arry and Bert . They have described this announcement in both plural and not plural terms. Non-plural terms it could just be talking about the big locomotive announcement, which is like the big thing. Considering the costs of carrots, it could very much well be these items, but I'm not entirely sure. However, given the current circumstances. Having to already designed the product products, just brought back into the range. Would be super easy . And considering terrifs and affordability . These are cheap already designed  with a CGI reference unlike salty . If they do then I'd imagine it would only be iron arry and iron Bert and no additional rolling stock .
If some how this is not the case I am sure havery will be done .
As for some rolling stock the cream tanker with the proper cream color would be nice .
The well wagon as well could fit right into the range with havery and the well wagon being a makeshift breakdown train you got the crane and you got something to carry the engine on .
And Gordon's special express coaches which have been suggested ever since Bachmann released Toby's museum coaches.

Trevor would be nice to see since he an Awdry character and it is the 80th however I don't see it happening .

Emily with the #12 would be nice but again I don't picture it happening . Maybe in the next few years we get a "steam team " themed NMRA announcement, where we see DCC James ,Emily with 12 , and Nia all announced at once

DCC James is one of a few characters they could do in DCC as he along with Edward Henry Gordon Toby  are the only character that have sounds on the g scale sound thing and have uk release . I don't see it happening until DCC Thomas and Percy are out .

The cattle vans or utility vans are some other  that I don't know if I would predict them but I could it happening .
