Hello,
seven DL535E were built from  Alco / MLW in 1969 and three were built 1971 from MLW for White Pass & Yukon RR. Some are there still in service. Some other DL535E run from the quarry to the US Gypsum Co. plant at Plaster City, California.

I mean, there are many locos with a longer lifecycle we need first as model from Bachmann and at last this giant NG loco DL535E.

Hello,

One of the main points is the different track gauge between N and HO.

At Scale N is the distance between the rails 0.353’’ (9mm).
At Scale HO is the distance between the rails 0.649’’ (16,5mm).

Hello,
I have meanwhile asked at Kadee for solve this problem. Sam Clarke from Kadee wrote:

„Hello again,

Thanks for the photos they do help with knowing what to try.

First I'd try the long shank #146 in the locomotive only then try the #146 in the car and the loco. If that doesn't get the couplers together without derailment I'd look at using the #451 on the locomotive.

The NEM couplers would not look very good compared to standard coupler mounting.

I´ll try it  Wink

Hi,
this part #S283Y-00Y01 is an fuel tank for the tender. If you want not heat coal in your loco, remove the coal load from tender body, then you can fix the fuel tank.

Hello,

there are many conversions, for example at Mount Blue Model Company.
They have 3 wonderful conversions for Bachmann HO Alco S4 into fine On30 Diesels.
http://www.mountbluemodelco.com/products.htm

Or the British Smallbrook Studio, they have also conversions for US-Diesels

Hello,

I have once made a calculation for the difference in % of the scales around scale O, because there are vehicles in other scales.

Scale 1:       43         43,5         45          48         50          55
43               0%        -1%        -4%      -10%     -14%     -22%
43,5          +1%         0%        -3%        -9%     -13%     -21%
45             +5%       +3%         0%        -6%     -10%     -18%
48           +12%     +10%       +7%         0%       -4%     -13%
50           +16%     +15%      +11%      +4%        0%       -9%
55           +28%     +26%      +22%     +15%   +10%        0%

Example for scale 1:48: A model in scale 1:45 is 7% bigger then in Scale 1:48
A model in scale 1:50 is 4% smaller then in Scale 1:48

Hello,

There are two different scales for O gauge in Europe:
In Continental Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and so on……) the scale is 1:45.
The calculation is there  1435 mm Normal Gauge : 32 mm O gauge = 44,8.

In Great Britain scale is 1:43,5.
The calculation is there  1´(foot) : 7mm = 43,5.

In USA scale is 1:48.
The calculation is there  1´(foot) : 1/4" (inch) = 48

Hi Mister Bach-Man,

there are a beautiful C&S Reefer, a low-board Gondola and a C&S Caboose in the "Rocky Mountain Express" - Set (No. 25020).
Will they come as single cars?
Because I have DCC-controller and I need some of this C&S cars without DC- loco, DC - power pack and DC-speed controller.
