You put this link under Large. I guess you wanted to point out that there is nothing new for Large scale for 2019. Angry

So you’re not an Eggliner fan I take it?

Just because an engine is not DDC ready does not mean that you can't install a decoder in it.  You'll have to isolate the motor but that's not too hard.  I've got a few Niagaras from the early 2000's (not DCC ready) that I installed decoders in and all it took was a few evening's worth of tinkering to make sure that I have everything isolated properly.

The online store (Shopatron site) says that they do ship internationally.  From their shipping terms at Orders :

  • Your country may charge additional taxes or duties on your order when it enters your country. You are responsible for paying any additional charges.

Bachmann Trains ships to most countries

    Shopatron Standard Tiered: Shipping Charges are 35 % Minimum Charge of USD$ 18.90, up to 100.99, USD$ 0.00 plus 30 % over 100.99 up to 249.99, USD$ 0.00 plus 25 % over 249.99 Minimum Charge of USD$ 18.90

    Shopatron Standard: Shipping Charges are 35 % Minimum Charge of USD$ 18.90, up to 100.99, USD$ 0.00 plus 30 % over 100.99 up to 249.99, USD$ 0.00 plus 25 % over 249.99 Minimum Charge of USD$ 18.90

The separate parts store has a selection of countries to choose from for your shipping address so I would guess that they too ship outside of the US.

My wife is a retired 'legal beagle' and I decided to run the legalities of operating a car, like the Jackson Sharp version, in today's world. After showing her a picture, she said; "No how." The major problem? The lack of passenger restraints on the car sides. She went on to say that she would be very surprised if anything like these cars were in operation anywhere within the U.S. Additionally, she mentioned that she doubted any insurance carrier would insure (liability) an operator of said cars. Sad to think what the world has come to isn't it?

Greenfield Village in Dearborn uses cars almost identical to these.

Also, the narrow gauge group in Hesston, IN has some:

And Cedar Point uses similar cars:

One of the pa,s is being restored, but it will not have an also engine.

Unless something changed, the PA under restoration has a Alco 251C prime mover from a M420B road switcher, so it does have an Alco engine.

Ok let your friend know that you take 3\4 of an inch off the screw mount to lower it down and here is a better view of the PCC car.  Grin

Do you really mean 3/4 of an inch?  That will take off almost the entire post.  Maybe 3/4 of one thread?
