Hello, I have a decoder that works ok with bachmann ez command center control to address 7, however, I bought dynamis ez command and the decoder does not work, how I can solve the problem?
Thanks, from Chile.

Check to make sure it is not the Dynamis by trying another DCC locomotive. If it is the locomotive then you can send it in to Bachmann for repair or replacement for free if it has been less than 1 year since you purchased the locomotive, you did not do anything that would void the warranty, you are the first and original owner, you purchased it from an authorized Bachmann dealer (not ebay, craigslist, other auctions, etc...) such as a hobby shop.

The Dynamis works with both short addresses (1 to 127) and long addresses (0001 to 9999.)  The E-Z Command uses short addresses only.  So if you programmed your locomotive to address 7 using an E-Z Command, it is programmed to a short address.  Then when you use the Dynamis, you have to acquire it with short address 7.  You cannot acquire it as 0007 which is a long address.

When you get into changing addresses, then you can reprogram the locomotive to long address 0007 if you want to.

I doubt very much that there is a problem with the decoder if it works with an E-Z Command.  A decoder has no way of knowing what system is sending commands to it.  All it can tell is whether or not the commands are addresses to it or to another decoder, and whether or not the command is a valid command.

Growing older is mandatory but growing up is optional.

Thank's, the problem was that the terminal track was a capacitor in parallel with the rails, I took it out and everything ok.
