Hello there,
I'm a huge French fan of Bachmann large scale trains but I still have a newbie question:
Can I run a Spectrum loco on a 90 Degree Crossing - Steel Track ? No derailment in sight ?

I'm planning to build a "Figure 8" layout.

Many thanks in advance for all your answers.

Len

If you are building the figure-8 using similar tubular type Bachmann LS track, it should work fine. If you are using another brand of track, with solid rails, connecting them together can be a problem.

Len
If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

Thanks Len. Yes I'm gonna use Bachmann tubular LS track. I have a full box of track sections.

Hi Chris,

You did not say which Spectrum Loco you have, but the tubular track is very tight radius, and some of the larger Spectrum Loco's might derail since they were designed for larger radius.

Have fun!

You do not say whether your layout is indoors or out.  The Bachmann steel track will not work outdoors, it will quickly rust.

Many thanks for your replies. Very helpful.
It will be an indoor layout. I started this thread before buying any Spectrum locos.
