Can Thomas (g gauge) go in snow and rain and water?

Bucksco

Sure, but I wouldn't leave him out in that sort of weather when you're finished running! ;)

Thanks. And I assume Percy and The coaches and trucks would to.

Loco Bill

Yes James they all can go outside, but the track will rust if left outside, or is wet, then brought inside and not dried off thoroughly and lightly oiled.

I have the aristo-craft track. and another question is can they be battery operated

Loco Bill

James,  It shouldn't be too hard to battery power them, but you might need to put the receiver and batteries in a trail car and run the wires to the loco.  This would work fine for the passenger cars, but if using the troublesome trucks you would need some kind of load to cover the batteries & receiver.  It will be interesting to see how much room there is inside Thomas and Percy, it may be possible to put the the Aristo TE 75mhz, or the new revolutuion receivers in them.

happy railroading!
